While India celebrates its 65th Independence Day, STAR Plus characters too will celebrate the spirit of freedom on this special day. Sandhya, Khushi, Pratigya share their plans for this Independence Day.

The sutradhaar of Lakhon Mein Ek Pratigya shares, "This year India is celebrating it's 65th Independence Day. I am proud to a citizen of this independent country, where we have the freedom of expression. On this day, I will attend the national flag hoisting. It feels wonderful to sing our national anthem and patriotic songs as it instills a sense of pride."

Khushi from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? says, "On Independence Day, I always think of my school days and miss it as early morning we used to hoist our national flag, sing the national anthem and perform various patriotic dramas. On this day, I will celebrate India's 65th Independence Day by listening to patriotic songs on the radio. I am truly grateful to all our freedom fighters as they are the ones who fought for our independence.

Maanvi from Ek Haazaron Mein Meri Behna Hain says, "We have all grown up listening to the song, Sab se accha Hindustan hamara, which is one of my favourite patriotic songs. Every year I visit my school and attend the flag hosting event, followed by watching a series of patriotic movies. I will follow the same schedule this year as well. Thanks to Daddaji, even Jeevikadi is here to accompany me this time. This Independence Day, I will also make sure to pray for all our soldiers, police officers and others who risk their lives to protect our country and it's people."

An excited Sandhya says, "This Independence Day I am missing my country, India, a lot. We are in Singapore for Sooraj's competition. He has gained public votes and has become one of the top three contestants and I am very happy about this. The people here appreciate and respect our Indian culture a lot and so we will surely celebrate our independence with them. I hope that Sooraj ji wins the competition and makes our country proud.

Saanchi from Ruk Jaana Nahin shares, "This Independence Day I am going to attend the flag hosting event that is organised in our university. Mehak will accompany me and Abhimanyu will also be there. There will be a celebratory atmosphere in the university, our national anthem and other patriotic songs will be sung. I am looking forward to it"

Share with us how are you going to celebrate India's 65th Independence Day?
