Hi frndz,
Most of the viewers would agree that MKAP is no longer the same old show that captivated the audience. The show seems to hv lost its magic. Earlious some overzealous fans used to link the falling rank with lack of focus on leads but with the current overexposure of kriya, this argument seems just a lame excuse. In my opinion too much emphasis on Kriya without any novelty in developing their relationship makes the show very predictable and boring. CVs had introduced some very interesting characters including menka and tanmay but they were perhaps misled by too many negative opinions on places like MKAP forum. Now that the show is losing in TRP race, CVs should stick to their old strategy of giving more space to side characters like Meera, Menka & Tanmay. After all it is TRP that can keep the show on.

iit is positive tracks on kriya that will gain them trps...last week we had too much nagativity and prats being weak wich was not acceptable and not wat we expect frm pratigya...b4 the infertility track started the week b4 that wen the cvs showed happy kriya date, wig and all we had high trps...wen the kriya baby promo was aired we were back in top 10 after many weeks...this shows that kriya r the trp generators...but postive tracks on them...too much negativity and same old taunting sessions will only drive viewers away...
even during samar, menaka and tanshu were given importance our trps were low
i dont think cvs listen to forum members coz we dont constitute to the trp giving population as most members view it online...wen trps decrease cvs change track..

IMO, there's plenty of space given to the parallel lead couples, tanshi, komarsh, and shame.
Kriya have only really regained their lead positions in the show in the last few weeks, otherwise we used to go for a couple of weeks without a kriya scene, and many epis were dominated by tanshi.

There are plenty of side characters without bringing Meera back in, and many loose ends to tie up.
I also don't believe the cvs rely on this forum's opinion to such an extent that certain tracks' outcomes would be affected.
MKAP is still the slot leader for the past couple of weeks, and can still reach a position in the top 5, but by finishing all the incomplete story lines, not by relegating kriya to the back burner again.

Er I think u have it gravely wrong as last week was filled with the torture and rituals of pratigya & when the drama so much negativity then there is going to be a dip in TRPs isnt there. The reason for the dipping TRPs is too much negativity and torture to the main lead of the show who is meant a strong woman. Plus Tanmay and Arushi were shown a lot last week too and that counts for dipping TRP's too. Meera track finished cuz the trps were dipping and didnt like her character at all so dont see ur point on her.

Firstly I don't believe there is a slump..we are still slot leaders..all shows change over time, so has MKAP..

I think it has not been an overdose of Kriya but an overdose of rituals and side characters which are not pushing the story forward..

Tam and Meneka certainly not characters that will appeal to everyone day in and day out..they have their share of screen time..

It is the writing which is the issue.. Had they shown an emotional track of mle infertility it would have been more gripping..

Lets not blame KriYa track for low TRPS. last week's TRPS are lower because of the highly disappointing ME we had last Saturday. Truth never came out. And all the 'Arushi knowing K's truth' ended into absolutely nothing following the episode on Monday and onwards. Ofcourse viewers will feel betrayed.

Frndz,
It is good to see that amidst all the ongoing talk about MKAP slot changes owing to its failure to rake TRPs, this forum is perhaps the place where optimism still prevails. It is a good sign n i'm happy about it. Still, I would like this 'feel good factor' to be supported by rank statistics. CVs should put all their efforts to attract masses rather than classes. The show must go on. Our opinions about the screen time distribution may differ but I hope everyone here wants to see our fav show leading the charts. That prospect will automatically answer our grudges or prayers...
