To turn it into a hot topic is also dependent on it's views and how many viewers will revisit the topic, hence if the postmakers and it's audience revisit, check and comment, that will change it to a hot topic.
many times here useless number of threads are opened, which remain icy blue and due to the lack of comments, revisits and views remains cold, bec they are made intentionally to increase the traffic on the forum and are repeated. With increases number of pink topics then indicates the show has proved worthy of discussion and members are actively participating in continuation. Because anyone can raise a thread for the sole purpose of raising it.

👏well explained... guys this could be one of the reasons... seems like its not many topics that is count but less topic with high viewership/comments makes the forum ranking better... so its not how many topics we open but how many topic that receive high views could actually improve in our ranking... not 2 late to work on it... 😃😃

So, that means if someone raises a thread, many ppl have to comment in it till the thread turns pink... also... I did not get what you meant by "viewership"... does it mean no. of ppl visiting the forum ??
