All throught this kidnap I appreciated Prats stance... she kept her silence (after K told her to)... stayed in the background and occasionally tried to advise the TN members and krishna regarding the correct path...
however, I was shocked and dissapointed by last (fridays) episode... Prats was so influenced by the girls words that she reverted back to her old nature and Justice Pratigya passed sentence on Krishna " you are GALAT... YOU have RUINED the girls life"... she did not bother to consider Makhnu Singh's actions, 5 crores ransom already paid, her father-in-laws safety, krishna breaking down in fear of his bauji's safety... nothing... just SAHI or GALAT...😕 samething happened in the seperation track, where K also suffered and was cheated by his own mother, but somehow he was GALAT in the end... (I'm not supporting K here for kidnapping the girl, which is definitely wrong)
Anyway the CVs have created Pratigya character just to showcase the social evils thru PBJs and so Prats mindset will always be shown as black and white...
... which brings me to the heading of this post... what is Krishna doing in this serial anyway??? why is he needed at all ??? I doubt if the CVs will EVER let Krishna grow... he will never be SAHI...😕 he can never THINK on his own...
Whats the point of having a character whose own wife finds him GALAT all the time ???
Is there really a need for a character called KST... afterall PBJs can be done at any point or time...
Prats can do PBJs on any number of bad characters who are already in this serial... or even with the doodhwalla...

Congrats Uma, hope the purpose of opening this post is well served. 😉
BTW: Did you arrived at any conclusions or still wondering if Krishna is Redundant or not ?? 😆
Well.. I got a lot of interesting and diverse viewpoints... I'm copying and pasting Tantya's views here... since everyone here have their own POV, I leave it to all to draw their own conclusions...
Tanthya's post :-
Krishna is needed for Pratigya to survive !! ...As u so rightly said .. P is white while the Thakur's are Black ..This B&W combination has to come together and that is provided by a Grey [combo of White n Black] which is Krishna ...Pratigya is bi-polar minded and does not have the ability to see the world in technicolor , This deficit is compensated by Krishna..
Yup !! it is quite odd to see that a wife finds her spouse wrong all the time, here again I am going for the yin-yang method..I am presuming that they r adopting white for P n Black for K and together they make the ideal combo ..bec both of them are unchangeable, both will not yield and both will retain their basic traits despite so closely bound ...Another reason would be , they cannot afford to show P as Grey shaded , if they do that , then her very pedestal becomes Shaky and she cannot give her clarion call cux if she tried to do her next PBJ, then viewer's will conveniently hold up her previous transgression and point out the fact that she does not have the right to do so...
Krishna will be galat for P to be proven right else if K were to be right then there is no reason for P's existence, Krishna will have to remain bec he represents a alternative vision to an improbable , idealistic one ...
Whether Krishna is needed in the show , yes !!

THERE IS FREEDOM OF RIGHT TO EXPRESS OUR OPINION WHATEVER WE FEEL... I HATE THE HERD MENTALITY,,,. i.e., INDIVUDUALS IN A GROUP ACT TOGETHER WITHOUT PLANNED DIRECTION.
SO MANY TIMES I GET PISSED OFF WHEN P CALLS/ADDRESSES HER HUSBAND SINGULARLY. POOR K. AS A CUSTOM HERE, EVEN ELDERS TALK TO SMALL CHILDREN WITH PLURAL GIVING RESPECT , SO THAT IN RETURN THEY WILL DO SO TO OTHERS. ONE CAN CALL THE NAME BUT NOBODY CALLS HUBBY IN SINGULAR. I THINK EDUCATED/SANKARI SAXENAS DO THAT!!!
THIS IS MY POV, NEED NOT BE UNIVERSAL TO ALL.😛

I respect ur POV, but it's not important that a wife shud always address her husband as ''aap'' Also krishna too addresss her as ''Tum''. Important thing is both KP give importance to each others Pov on a situation rather then only sticking to their OWN theories on right and wrong. ( This applies for both Krishna and pratigya, and not only for one )

Hi ninahegde, nice post, fully agree, she should not use a singular expression to address her hubby.
In fact she should not utter his name at all, I think she should call him " AJJII SUNYEY"
And when Krishna calls her Pratigwa, she should call him Kissnawa. How that sounds to you. 😊
AFTER ALL U PEOPLE ARE READING BETWEEN THE LINES. NOT UNDERSTANDING MY POV.
WITH UR SO ADVOCATING P AS EPITOME OF LOVE, PERFECTIONISM ? IS THIS THE SOCIAL MESSAGE ? OR EXAMPLE TO OTHERS TO FOLLOW?😉
