He did all these things because his presumed love is weak.

Pratigya's love is much stronger and deeper.

While P took some time, she hated him initially, she had, had a chance to take a good look at him before she even accepted him as a husband, but when she truly felt the depth of his love, then she fell in love and since then she never looked back. So nothing could shake her love for K.

Blind love or love at first sight could have its demerits, like it is very intense but its equally unforgiving and susceptible , K got so easily fooled by her mother's proofs that P tried to ruin his dhaba ( one more example of his blind love - on her mother), he believed her .Since her mother came in his life much earlier then P and not only he had blind love but blind faith on blood relations, that she can't go against him. So he hurted P.

That is why P was stressing so much on trust.
