A PAIR OF DIAMONDS- Today their respective fathers think their second born and middle child is are their priced diamonds, the K(ohinoor) diamond and the P (Polar star) diamonds.
SS returns home from the Dhaba with the Takur family in tow. He describes his ladla Krishna, as the ideal son, his diamond, his jewel in his crown who is going to make him proud one day⭐️👏. He's flying high at the moment and doesn't realize his words can hurt when he says it's better to have a son like him or not one at all. This offends KN, after all he has never measured up in SS's eyes in spite of being his obedient, right hand man and doing as he was told all his life. SS's words are hurtful and may turn into the poison Kesamma will use to key him like a wind up toy to do her bidding.
Kesar is not bothered with KN, she's resigned to living with the man who hates her. She couldn't care less about his reaction or feelings, so she retires to her room. But her mother's got his back, after all he's her meal ticket to her dream life. Amma sets KN right about getting any free food from the Dhaba, it's business and Krishna's hard work has to be rewarded. Kesamma and KN are hot and bothered hearing SS praise his younger son🤔.
Kesamma, the one who's seeking the high life with the bells and whistles on Takur's coattails hangs back to fill KN's ears with ideas that appear too challenging for Mr. Bayil Buddhi's comprehension. How does she figure badmouthing Krishna is going to raise KN's IQ? She wants KN to give up laboring for SS and own his own business to keep his respect in the family.
What kind of mother discounts her daughter's nightmarish life with KN just for a grand lifestyle she's dreaming for herself? We are yet to see an appreciable quality in this freeloader who is trying to destroy the family while living among them ….. talk about biting the hand that feeds her three meals a day and more perks than she ever dreamed possible. She also has the outstanding gift from SS whenever she decides to collect it.
After the opening, Adarsh stops on his way home with Komal gets her an ice cream cone and in turn gets her promise not to cook any non-beg food at MMGJ's Green House. Mental note by Adarsh: To get Komal to comply to my wishes, just take her out and feed her treats and ice cream, she does behave like a kid at the candy store. .
Blooper Alert: Did anyone else notice Krishna's table at the entrance? The previous one was in a greenish-blue shade and this one was white. Is Krishna's cash box bolted down to the table? If not any gunda come march right in and walk away with it while Krishna, Tunna or Chanu turn around to smile at a customer,
Raade, the orange lips gunda shows up at the Dhaba with an agenda to be an annoying customer and throw his weight around with his gundagiri. Did Krishna have flashbacks of the time he went to a restaurant with the original Angad and his mates? The memory of Prats getting shot when he went after Raade must have been fresh on his mind, for Krishna, T and C who grabbed pans to beat up Raade relented after Prats teaches his another important lesson: Customer is K-I-N-G. Did POPs take our thoughts on this forum and sneak it into the show?😲
Raade demands Chandu clean his table and polish his utensils for he'd like to see his reflection in them. Chandu's sarcastically remarks to the waiter that these guys are used to living with very pristine surroundings! Somebody tell his bloke there is such a thing that's been around for decades called a mirror for the expressed purpose of seeing one's reflection, in his case his orange lips.😛😆
T & C tolerate his hungama but when Raade, the orange lips gunda spits the food out after tasting it. He wants to know if he's been served cow dung. Must me all that paan in his mouth. Is he's going to really taste any food at all? Like his mind, his palette is also shot. The other guests at the Dhaba step up for Krishna, praise the quality of the food and call Raade in on his gundagiri. One customer takes the liberty and goes so far as to tell Raade to get lost and stop causing trouble. So now there are witnesses to the Raade's antics, will they provide evidence of troublemaking that may come in handy in a week or so. Better. He'd better hope SS doesn't come gunning for him one of these days.
Shamu is happy. Beware! Any time Saxes speak the words out loud things take a tumble. Papa dearest praises his ladli Prats for reforming Krishna that he can now stand on his own feet. He is pleased she has won the hearts of her in-laws after having to live through some tough times with them. Arusi smiles. Was it bec' she remembers her game of jetani-devrani with Prats or she is proud her sister could still live at the Niwas? What could be her secret, pray tell! Why do people feel joy in changing others' while they themselves fail to acknowledge or affect change in their own lives? Saxes are famous for giving themselves a pat on the back but rarely acknowledge someone who is not one of them. Komal is picking up on that, is very displeased with her sasural over this matter and going about it all the wrong way.
Tsk, tsk, tsk! Komal, you little girl, stop eavesdropping in on half a conversation and reacting to it by shooting your mouth off! Your insecurity is showing and it's time to reflect and grow up. Marriage is not a gudiya ka khel (child/doll's play). What's your problem with parents saying they love their daughter? You soaks it all up with baby talk when SS pampers you, don't you? She has a lot to learn about the differences between life at maike and life at sasural. Prats has learned to keep her sasural stories to herself unlike Komal who throws her weight around, bullies her sasural and puts the fear in them just by mentioning Takur Sajjan Singh's name. In the early days of marriage when Naina treated her well she had no use for it and tantrumed like a spoiled brat. Now they've had enough of her antics and call her on her behavior gingerly. Her immaturity shines in moments when she proudly detailed her sasural's shortcomings to the likes of Kesamma who doesn't know them from Adam and Eve.
First Arusi and now Komal both jealous of Prats? How is giving her sasural the third degree going to win her brownie points with them. She claims to know it all and yet she knows very little. She gets to do things her way and she expects the Saxes to embrace her when she throws her Takur tantrums around. She goes from baby talk to screaming like a fishwife confusing the heck out of the Saxes.
A LALLANTOP scene to remember! It will go down in the history of MKAP as one of the most moving scenes of all time. Krishna returns home with Prats, orders SS to stand up and the old Takur complies. Krishna and Prats gets SS's blessings, then he hands over his first earnings to his bauji. The loving father in him SS embraces Krishna and he takes a page out of Naina's book, his eyes brimming with tears. This father-son team never fails to deliver. What a poignant moment!
Preview: So KN wants money to start his own business. Hmmm, is he asking for a loan or a distribution from his earnings over the years? This also begs the question …. What are his plans? To open a competing Dhaba, a competing baloo business cutting into some of SS's business, sell liquor or engage in something to do with the kotewalis?
Is it likely that SS refuses to fork the cash expecting KN to continue helping him with the baloo business? If so, will KN then instigate Raade to add the creepy crawling cockroaches and create problems for Krishna? KN is feeling insecure and with his sasuma filling his ears with trash he is going to let her lead him by the nose. The seismic activity that could rock and crack the Takur family is experiencing it's first tremors underground, the impending catastrophe is awaiting.
Will Krishna and Prats step in and save the day for Bauji and Amma? The face off between the two brothers began a while ago with a few in-your-face confrontations. They could be the tremors that have been overlooked. Only time will tell. But one thing is certain! SS will stand firmly on Krishna and Prats's side.
