We are a group of MKAP fans; friends and relatives, men and women, young and old, with different vocations. Only a very few of us visit this forum and are bowled over by the different hues of opinions ( intelligent, tongue in cheek, outright funny, sarcastic and ERUDITE write ups

especially by TANTYA, CARISMA, YEMI, MERARAI, ATTICUS,KK etc) expressed here. Categorically speaking apart from Neena Gupta's Saans, most of us have not watched a hindi serial in ages. Somehow MKAP happened and is still happening in our Homes at 10.30 pm everyday! Mind you that is quite a feat for a reluctant bunch like us! The young unabashedly ogled KRIYA with a goofey looks. The more mature and literary minded womenfolk, happily found in Krishna the lovable rascal Jem Merelyn(Maurier's) or Shaw's Captain Brassbound and many more of their ilk. And the older lot benignly beamed upon and patronised Kriya as if they were our own homegrown couple. The Oh so choosy menfolk sat up straight when the Thakur clan stormed the screen and thundered away in all their splendor and glory. what an amalgamation of talents, looks and charisma. MKAP WAS ALL ABOUT EXCELLENCE AND WERE WE PROUD TO BE CONNOISSEURS OF SUCH A SHOW. Of course like the majority of viewers we too muted and surfed channels when Saxes appeared on the scene(a saxless episode is equal to an Emmy winning show).

Let us glance at the present Scenario. What a fall, people ! The present MKAP is just a caricature of the behemoth it once was. CVS would not want to kill their own baby, so there must be someone in the channel who is responsible for the present state of affairs. Otherwise CVS would not incorporate the imbecility, inanity, mediocrity and superficiality of other shows into MKAP. PLEASE STAR PLUS, MKAP is the show which put your channel on the map for many of us. So please do not spoil the show for us. MKAP fans are mature and a class apart and please don't treat them like juveniles.

The forum fans make such intelligent pleas and it is an enigma as to why you don't heed them. ( When the double jeopardy of GANGA and AARUSIYA tracks came up many in our group cried foul and quit the show)

However here below are some suggestions:

1. Do not try to show Ganga as an innocent girl because she is not and she led SS to the altar all the way. She is more mature, conniving than what she pretends to be. And do not drag the scenes btwn ganga and Goonga too much. Then they lose their impact

2. What is the purport of AArusiya in this Show? She has not contributed anything either constructively or aesthetically to the show. And from the first scene, neither the character nor the artist has ever struck a harmonious chord in any of the viewers. It is nothing personal . But this is show business and in the end everything comes down to good looks, oodles of charm, loads of talent and that something called charisma (or else replace her with an actor with a chin like pooja's or komal's, a little less of overbite/denture , and pretty please no war paint or mile long eyelashes) And acting wise, the girl who played SUNEHARI just for a week, impressed us more with her deceptively vulnerable looks and spunky acting than AArusiya(her nautankis at the TN were the worst period of MKAP) in her 20 months tenure. KST,AS and KN are no adonises or Manmathas in the strict sense, but once they come on the screen, you can't peel your eyes from their riveting presence, because the sheer enormity of their colossal talent dwarfs everything around them! And amma is another story altogether. And our pretty polly prats is amply adequate and has the oomph to boost the image.

Please enough of AArusiya. If possible bring back Sunehari. She will be good.

Okay we agree with you on GANGA and SS track , because it is relevant to the story. May be trying to hit home the fact that there is no fool like an old fool and that too an old fool in love (lust?)! Now begins the ruin of SS and his fiefdom. right? We grudgingly acknowledge the role of manipulative child-woman GANGA and how she has made an A-SS of SS. Since she was gullible to his lucre and he to her allure, they balance each other well, So please don't try to show either of them in a better light, because they are equal partners in crime.
