There are couple in the afternoon slot...and also Bebo is older than MKAP.. but Hami Behenein is younger than MKAP....it only started around Feb 2010.
Moreover TRPs are good and ane very importantly there is still loads of story left in MKAP...so they can't just shut it off like that ....they need to change tracks asap though to get back some of their viewers.

Telstra mentioned prime time shows..so afternun shows dont come into the picture. The prime time is from 8 (now a days 7 itself) to 11pm.
As Tanth pointed TRPs should be high smth as 4 n above are decent..but MKAP has gained 5 n above for the last few months n now its over 6...a huge no by any standards.

But If prodn house n chaneel have probs n decide to shut down...no way out than going off air.

Only thing is MKAP is a huge hit so nothing can be said as of now.

I agree Tanths...that TRP is a very significant factor...but recently with Bidaai going off air, which gave very decent trps...I think the channel is going for some other strategy....they are not only looking for trps but also see if the show has a scope for more storylines...Bidaai might have saturated at that point
CVs needs to pull up their socks...coz it would be a big shame if they go offair when they have scope for so much storyline

Yes...I was only merely pointing out the shows that are older than MKAP....😃
Yes the trps are good at the moment...but I feel the channel also looks at the storyline and sees if there is any scope in it...like in bidaai...even though they had very decent trps ..it was shut off...so I feel they are not just looking at trps....Moreover there is other option before going off air that is changing the time slot...either to early evening or the afternoon slot....
But here I think the issues is among the production house itself...I don't see any probs between the prod house and channel...that's my assumption....

Importantly....why are we talking about MKAP going off air in feb?...as of now I can't see that happening....unless something very drastic happens and we end up at the bottom of the table...then the channel will consider shutting us off 😃

An acotr ..esp the lead coming out n saying she is not satisfid with the work culture n pay is not a simple thing Pooja.
If u remember Tho Ankit is doing a supporting role he initially said there is no such issue regarding the pay ..n only last week he clarified that he got the rise he wanted.

So making such stmts public..is not an easy joke.

Or Pooja like always must have talked openly..as she normally she does..!!

Bidaai had a spate of new entry's who did not click , besides there was nothing new in their tracks ..and second fatigue factor was also there ..

But MKAP is still riding high and hopefully if they bring Krishna to full throttle ..they have another year or two ..
