Sunayana backs out; Deeya Chopra to enter Pratigya

Deeya Chopra will now play the new girl in Aman's life in Star Plus' Pratigya..

Deeya Chopra who was last seen playing the role of Byjayanti in Imagine's Kashi is now back in a new avtar in Star Plus and Spellbound Productions' Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya.

She will go on to play the other woman in Aarushi and Aman's (Piyush Sahdev) life. Apparently, Sunayana Fozdar was earlier finalized to play this role. However, the actress backed out as the budget did not appeal to her.

Our source says, "Actually Deeya Chopra was the first choice to play this role. However, Deeya did not take the role earlier as she was not fine with the budget. Then Sunayana came into the picture, but could not take up the role eventually, after which the makers decided to go back to Deeya with a revised budget".

As of now, an intrigue element has been created over this lady's presence in Aman's life using the body doubles. Deeya's entry will be aired in tonight's episode. She plays a bold, mature, traditional and simple girl and her character has been etched very nicely, and will provide for some major drama element in the future.

When contacted, Deeya confirmed her presence in Pratigya saying, "Yes, I am doing Pratigya. I have never played such a role before. This girl is not just the simple 'Woh' who comes into the life of a couple".

Deeya is presently seen in Sahara One's Kesariya Balam Aawo Humare Des wherein she plays the character of Urvashi. If sources are to be believed, she plays a negative role there
