I agree the slapping would have been unnecessary if she had handled this situation in a logical manner. I can even understand her wanting to keep the peace in the house for her sisters sake not wanting to give her any more problems but it should not have been at the sake of her life. All that was required from her side was revealing the truth to prats or even Krishna either one of them would have found a good enough reason to send her back to the safety of her home and they would have taken care of Shakti as well. Di this is a drama though and this scene was expected or this track would not have been dragged to such an extant where rape could become a possibility. I agree I doubt Arushi understands what she is dealing with neither does prats if she advised her sister to hide the truth.

The bhashan was boring and out of context, it was quite true because it does happen, and I've heard alot of it when people joke, "saali adhi gharwali". Its a false rule made by the society and a very disgusting tradition, it makes a girl feel embarassed when the truth is nobody has a right on a girl more then her husband in that context. Had Pratigya spoken in context of arushi it wouldnt be so boring.

I think it can be debatable as to whether a girl should bring out her shoe to hit the culprit or talk in private. I've been a victim of such harassment accept mine wasnt so severe and I didnt go through all this nastiness that Arushi went through, one of my relatives in the family who was close always use to try and touch me sometimes at places which were private. His wife noticed too, I was very young probably younger then a teenager and I always complained to my family but no one took me seriously accept I started moving away and staying away every time he came close. Sometimes its also embarassing and awkward to tell your family, I remember how awkward it was for me to speak to my father

It stopped after a while. But the point is sometimes the chappel is much needed, mainly because your family might not believe you or just ignore what your saying. In Arushi's case she was suppose to tell Shakti the first day he did that to her, she needed to talk to Pratigya, it was a bit unrealistic and its true these cases do happen. The only question I have never been able to answer is whether to hit them and show them their place but then may end up getting the slap back on my face or whether woman should always take support from others who are strong and make them fight these battles.

But i disagree with pratz, their parents should know, even knowing how useless they are.

I am happy that the story is out, Krishna, pratz, and the thakur, know, so when things get bad they will not be in the dark like the saxenas. Can't wait for the saxenas, to find out their daughter, has been keeping secret from them..........they will finally know how Krishna felt, but would it matter to them .
