STAR Plus' show Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya has crossed the 5 TVR mark and has garnered its highest rating since its launch.We also spoke to your favourite characters from the show to find out their response to the show's success and here's what they had to say.
Pratigya aka Pooja Gor
What was your reaction to the news about the show's TVR?
"I was overjoyed after the head of our production house messaged me about the TVR of our show. It was the best way to start my day. Pratigya is the number 1 show on STAR Plus and number 2 show on Indian television. I am very happy."
How has Pratigya changed your life?
I have actually started applying the morals and values that Pratigya believes in, in real life. Previously I believed in these values but did not have any motivation to apply them in day to day life but all that has changed now. The show has changed my life for the better.
What does Pratigya mean to you?
The show has taught me a lot and I've started incorporating some of the values of the show in real life. For instance, my tolerance for eve-teasing has gone down and I refuse to tolerate this kind of nonsense anymore. I was a victim of eve teasing, so I'm speaking from experience. Furthermore, I feel that women should also stand up to their rights and shouldn't be subservient in society.

Krishna aka Arhaan Behll
What was your reaction to the news about the show's TVR?
I had expected that the show will be a huge hit. Our hard work is appreciated, everyone right from the creative team to the technicians. Now my next target would be to take the show to No. 1 spot across all the channels. The show is popular not only in India but across world as I get calls from Pakistan, Dubai and London as well. It is popular even on the tube.
How has Pratigya changed your life?
From the day I was part of Pratigya, my life has completely changed. I have now become more responsible as a person. I have come to know what love is all about. While personally, I believe that everyone should fight for the truth. I have learnt a lot form this show; it has opened my eyes about social evils. Also the fact that education is important for an individual to become independent.
What does Pratigya mean to you?
For Krishna Pratigya is my life though I am upset with her but I still love and care for her. While for me this show means lot to me, whatever I am today is because of this show and Krishna. I am fortunate that in the start of my career with such a show that is different and is an agent of social change.

Komal aka Parvati Sehgal
What was your reaction to the news about the show's TVR?
I am glad my first show is a huge hit and I am happy that audiences are loving all the characters, especially Komal. Most amazingly, the audience loves my change in behavior, which is good."
How has Pratigya changed your life?
Its changed a lot. While I am a very loud character on the show, I am completely different in real life. For me bad behaviour is not acceptable. Now I raise my voice everytime I see injustice done. I feel that everyone should be treated equally.
What does Pratigya mean to you?
The show means a lot. Its helped me in becoming a better person and I hope that this show is a learning curve for all those who follow the show.

Sajjan Singh aka Anupam Shyam
What was your reaction to the news about the show's TVR?
I was very happy to hear the news. Before this show I was known as a film actor but this show has given me a different name and now people recognize me as Sajjan Singh. I get so many messages from all over world especially Lahore, London. People like the word bolbo.
How has Pratigya changed your life?
This show has given me new name Thakur Sajjan Singh and I am fortunate enough to be the part of STAR, for me its like achievement. I have always respected women, but now-a-days, I stand up for their cause. Even the smallest thing like going beyond their stereotype helps women come up in society.
What does Pratigya mean to you?
In this show I give out several social message like don't waste the water and so on which I try to put it into practice. Its good in the sense that I have become a social campaigner of sorts (laughs). Im glad about this and its also helped me practice what I preach.

Thakurain aka Asmita Sharma
What was your reaction to the news about the show's TVR?
As an actress, Pratigya made me famous. It feels great when some says that we watch the show at 3 AM in the morning. Now whenever I go shopping, people call me as Thakurain. I am happy that my character is appreciated. We show the reality about incidents happening in small towns and that's why the show is so popular.
How has Pratigya changed your life?
My character is a subservient wife. I dont believe in that attitude in real life. Marriage, I believe is a matter of compromise. So I wouldnt wish this on anyone at all. It disgusts me when women take everything from their husbands. I hope this show, since it has good TRP will make women stand up for their rights.
What does Pratigya mean to you?
It means lot to me and as an woman I am satisfied with the issues that are highlighted. We are showing Pratigya currently being ill treated in the show but the actual motive is to spread a positive message. People should realize that the evil practices that are prevalent in small town are bad. Eve teasing, molestation and others issues are shown in the serial and we will later show good winning over evil. But people in the city too should realize that these issues also prevalent in the city.

I was very happy.This show is really something different and each character has a special qualities which I think is the success mantra of the show.
How has Pratigya changed your life?
Inspite of living in the city, very few are aware of the social causes. With this show, I have learnt about the difficult situations that women are put in to and ways to deal with it.
What does Pratigya mean to you?
In simple words its oath against injustice. We may be walking around with Blackberries but there are issues which needs to be touched upon and this is the best way of creating awareness.
