Can someone shed light on this? I am really interested in knowing why, so comments please!😊

The Thakurs are called Singh, which I understand to be a name belonging to those of Sikh origins. So how come the men don't wear turbans, or dress as they should with the sword and everything. Also why is the family practising hinduism when Sikhs follow the Guru's teachings?

Nisha, I thought the name Singh is only used by someone of the Sikh religion.
What your saying is that's not the case? hmmm, very interesting.............I thought maybe creative licence is being applied here.
thanks for clarifying that.Smile

I got quite confused, thought is it some sort of creative licence taken by the CVs. Nisha made it clear.....didn't realise that hindu Thakurs use the name as well.

When I was at school had a sikh friend so my information is from what she told me. All sikh boys have singh in their names, all girls have the name 'kaur'...........hence my topic question.😊
I love learning something new each day!😆
