This is almost a cut and paste from my reply on Samaara's post. Forgive my laziness on not writing a fresh piece, but since it was so long, I thought maybe a fresh post may not be remiss.😊
====================

Lots has been discussed about the 17th august episode. Many were disappointed. Some liked it. I am just sharing my views. There has been talk that it was filmy; I guess it was, in the sense that it was somewhat theatrical rather than being nuanced. But then I suspect that when very crucial events occur in a narrative, when the emotions at play may be far to many to be adequately covered by a few dialogues, which will only serve to emphasise all that was not said, it is a far smater ploy to indicate the intensity of emotion than to try a parse it for the viewer. In terms of this intensity, I felt that they were very satisfactory.I felt the tension and the intention of the episode quite deeply, and so I have to conclude that it was a good one. Yes they have not yet given us a full resolution or a easing of tension, but then this is Pratigya only a very great optimist can hope to be ever fully relieved of tension. 😉

There were a couple of things which I found wrong, let us get those out of the way-
They should have all realised that a snake bite from a cobra is a serious risk and immediately tried to go to the hospital, instead of relaxing because they were more concerned with the emotional crisis. It was toooo Ganwar of them to think that just because the poison is out, they don't BOTH require anti-venom!!
But all of them were so relieved to have found Krishna and got him to go back with them that they just did not realize how much in danger they were. But then we as viewers have the benefit of being fore-informed. We knew that the hospital track was coming up so we knew that the should not relax. Sometimes it is not a good thing to know too much in advance. It makes you impatient with what is really happening on screen. We tend to forget that the characters don't know their own futures! 😆

Another small quibble; I really like the song and its great appropriateness, but I wish they have had the whole song in the background instead of having T&C lip-sync. Coming after a taut scene it was out of place.

Coming to the parts I liked-
I don't know why people are objecting to K &P's expressions! I thought they were perfect. Krishna is physically and psychologically exhausted and he has energy only for the most essential. Plus the snake biting Prats gave him an additional scare which he was trying to recover from. Now baba is hardly the sort of man to take to great emotional speeches or a big shoo-shaa when he is deeply moved. We know that he raises a storm like a brat for all small things but in really grave matters he is the strong silent type. I love this depth about him. It contrasts beautifully with his other childlike self. In fact knowing that he has both these faces makes him more attractive. I mean if he was to remain a depth-less one-liner master for ever in all situation it would make his character most uni-dimensional, IMO.
Prats too did and said all the right things. Her desperation to find Krishna was good, her asking him to come home, (punish her but not himself) was the right thing to say. It was not the time for declarations of undying love. She had the most wonderful expressions of love and loss during the jeep sequence.
She was feisty and strong and desperate during the hospital. she was guilt-stricken when she explained how Krishna came to this position. Bottom-line I though she was great.
SS and amma were great too.

Perhaps many in the forum are disappointed that there was no overt climax, with hugs and speeches and stuff. But I wish to suggest that the climax has been internal for both of them. Such a major event with both of them nearly dieing would have jolted them both to recognise their deepest feeling and acknowledge them. This is only a prophecy but I think Krishna's declaration of intent will come in the face of SS's bahishkar of Pratigya. The thakur's will find her responsible for his state but (I think) he will make it clear ke JEENA MARNA USKE SANG. Which will make SS reconsider his stand on Prats because he will realise that he might lose his son along with her.
So Krishna will regain his old position of power within the Thakur household.
Prats is still going to have an uphill task of convincing Krishna of her love and to acknowledge herself an d convince him that there is no part of guilt in that love. But all this will be great to watch.

As for the rest, to any body who is ready to listen,🤔 for the last time - the amnesia thing is a load of BS.
Can we pleas stop killing ourselves about it!!😔

Dyehard,

I like your positive spin to yesterday's episode. On reflection I feel the execution could have been better but the intent I understood. I think the CVs realised that they needed to proceed with the story so that they can focus on the reconciliation that they seemed to have done a cut and paste job with the saving part.

I too believe its all bull this loss of memory lark. However, I do think Krishna will be in coma and through that he will hear Pratigya's love for him.

Well written, Dyehard.I too dont blame the actors.I think AB and PG were good if not at their best.SS and amma were good as usual. But poor direction and poor dialogues made the epi pathetic.I didnt like the song sequance yaar...........it seemed so out of place.

I agree! It wasn't a bad episode but just really lacking in the technical department.

Things I loved:

-Prats still shouting for Krishna even after suddenly feeling immense pain and drowsiness. That is NOT guilt dears 😉

-I actually liked how Krishna ran to her when he realised she had fallen. He obviously had no energy but he still made an effort for his partigya!

-Pooja & Arhaan's expressions in the car scene. They were PERFECT!

-Prats shouting at the nurses! Even if it wasn't the right thing to do and she maybe overreacting but it just showed her love for Krishna according to me anyway.

-Acting of Amma int he hospital

Things I did NOT like:

-The whole background music during blood sucking part! Definately technical error!

-How Prats was telling Krishna to come home when really they should have waited a while till she felt better. Krishna also agreed readily! Too quick!

-Chandu and Tunna singing randomly! In a way it was cute but again, it didn't fit in the screenplay.

So yeh, it had a mix of good and bad moments!
