Today's episode in a nutshell............Prats was fired up 👍🏼and ready to go after the Takurs while on the other side of town Professor blew a fuse 😡and melted into a puddle in his mother's arms😭. SS told Sakthi to take a chill pill 😈as he had a trick up his sleeve.😳
Komal called Amma to share her newly attained worldly knowledge courtesy of her introvert Pati that sometimes "all is not what it seems"😲. She asked her Amma to take good care of "pavitra" Prats as she is "ek dum sudh hai". Amma didn't want to hear her unpud daughter's new baashan and suggested Komal not mention Prat's name to her again. I guess we now know what makes Amma's blood boil. Not one to give up so easily Komal continue to explain to her Amma what Adarsh had taught her the day before. Like her brother Krishna, Komal is a smart girl and the info. sank in real fast. Kudos to Komal!👍🏼 👏Nice to see Komal being unselfish like Baba and keeping her brother and bhabhi's happiness on her radar as well. Amma blew off her top and Komal slammed the phone down on her. Way to go, girl!👍🏼
Prats answered a cellphone call from Chandu who was looking for Krishna. Guess Krishna didn't need his cell phone today for whatever he had planned for the day. Why was Chandu hanging out at the chai store outside Prof. house?😕 Prats went looking for Krishna calling out his name right into the den of Takurs who lay in-waiting. The family gave her the cold shoulder but Ganti dadi informed Prats that Krishna left the house and she relayed the info to Chandu.
Prats waited awkwardly when being her usual kind-hearted soul, Kesar asked her to join her for breakfast. Amma waiting for her first chance to pounce, smirked and railed into Kesar and asked her to coddle and feed Prats since her sasural were the enemies. Kesar you give Amma the perfect response.....silence, that shuts her up faster every time doesn't it?😆 Arey, Amma, got to hand it to you. Even in the throes of such contempt for your bahus you spoke the truth, taali bajaO. Amma asked Piasiya to bring a place setting for Prats and decided to make it a dramatic moment now that she had a avid audience awaiting. Katra Naresh was intrigued at his mother's chaakali ways and watched with interest as if he were watching a thriller at the movies. Amma lifted Prats's hand and placed the untensils on it. Amma, Amma, aap ne kya kar diya? How could she have forgotten that Prats was a "kalanki, doshi aurath" and touched her? 😛You are some piece of work, saasuma😲. She informed Prats that she was not fit to sit and share a meal with the family at the dinner table as she was a sinner and kalankini woman and therefore had to be banished to eat on her own in her room. Ok, which century does Amma think she lives in? 😕
Kesar is embarrassed, while KN and SS looks on with interest at the drama unfolding. Gdadi is offended and gets SS's attention. SS asked his Amma to calm down and told Prats to stop staring or he would dig her eyeballs out. 😲Not an idle threat coming from the likes of SS who seems to enjoy popping his own eyeballs out on a daily basis. Ouch! He told Prats to take her utensils and return to her room.
But Prats was going to have none of it today. She was no longer the tongue-tied, trembling, crying, scared little girl. She took on the Durga Avatar and warned off her sasural spelling out the dire consequences facing them if they dared to continue treating her with disrespect. 👍🏼
Prats with nerves of steel stood up to SS, something the family didn't expect from her.😲 She told him she saw they were ready to condemn her without hearing the truth. She had told them that nothing wrong had happened to her that night, yet they were ready to rush to judgment by calling her a doshi. Amma was furious that her "mard" was getting a good talking to from her least favorite bahu. She raised her hand to slap Prat but Prats grabbed Amma's arm and stopped her. Looks like Prats remembered how Baba had stopped KN from hitting her once before. See how these images register in the brain and we never know when they would come in handy? Barthans in one hand, Prats warned Amma to not even think of trying to hit her again. She told the assembled Takurs that after the humiliation they had bestowed upon her and her Papa the day before with the coal face-painting OMG! tsk, tsk, tsk, will she ever stop bringing her Papa's name up in front of the Takurs ever??? she had lost all respect for them. She further explained that just bec' she and her Papa had not said anything during the incident did not automatically make the Takurs right and them wrong. If they thought of using her kidnapping as an excuse to demean her repeatedly then it was high time they changed their ways of thinking. SS taunted her asking her what else she wanted them to change, their names? He threw the gauntlet and said he wasn't going to change a thing, so what was she going to do? 😡
Not ready or willing to back down today, Prats came up with a surprise doozie for the Takurs with her answer. She will send them to jail to breathe in some of that air. Katra Naresh's look was priceless.😲 He sat there stunned😲Wonder if he thought how come my name is Sakthi and she was behaving like Goddess Sakthi today? Prats reminded the Takurs that she was capable of doing it too. I guess that's our cue that Aman Mathur is still somewhere in the vicinity anticipating his next call from his only client in town, Mrs. Pratigya Krishna Singh. She threw the gauntlet herself, to counter SS's move and reminded her sasural she didn't want to create problems in the home and warned them not to even think about creating problems for her.👏 In closing she warned them not to try and sabotage or suppress her one more time, for if they did, she declared that they will be held solely responsible for it. 👏Having said her piece Prats dropped the utensils in Piasiya's hands and returned to her bedroom. 👏
Sakthi seething in fury 😡looked ready to reach for his nearest bundook. He couldn't believe she had the gall to shoot off her mouth and say anything she wanted. But SS told him to get a grip on himself and leave it well enough alone. SS played the cool cucumber 😕and told him Prats had spoken too much, but they would remain calm. He had an ace up his sleeve and he would play his mind games in his own chalaki ways.😡
Oh God! It's the Saxsenas again.😭 A big deal was made about ironing Prof. shirt. Didn't they have the dhobi lady stop by for those chores during the engagement? So what was the big deal today? Komal was thrilled at the idea of her sasurji wearing a shirt she pressed.😊 Poor bitiya! She really needs a little more exposure to the real world. First buying balloons at her hollimoon and now this?
Somehow Adarsh seemed pleased with his wife's excitement over such a trivial matter. Arushi whined and protested at first about having to press her Papa's shirt but then when Komal decided to do it she realized Komal was going to score brownie points for her good deed. Prof. returned with his shirt decided to have a tantrum and threw it on the floor. He riled into Komal about his shirt. Is this man for real? University Prof. ko aisa karna shobha nahi detha Prof. Saheb.The way the Prof. flung his shirt and Arushi reacted one would think the Prof. was throwing rocks at her. The man is such a coward, he didn't have the courage to tell SS anything to his face at the Niwas while he had his face painted and instead took it out on Komal.
The rest of the Saxsena parivaar is shocked at the Prof.'s outburst, probably it was so out of character for the man known to exhibit his Gandhian ways once too often.Adarsh is shocked at his Papa's chillana at his wife but too much of a wuss to step in to defend his wife or calm his father down. Prof. cut Komal to the quick and told her she needed to have her face painted with coal,😲😲😲 it shocked everyone in the room. Nainaji couldn't believe her scaredy cat pati would say such a mean thing.😲 He continued to blow off steam 😡with his kayada-kanoon routine. He may never tire of it, but hum sab usko sunte-sunte thuk gaye hain. Does he even listen to himself? His daughter is fighting back among the jungalees at her sasural and he is like a snowman melting in the winter sun.
Dadi is shocked at her son's meltdown. She tried to calm him down. Prof. decided to take a page out of Nainaji's book and cried a river on his mother's shoulder. We don't treat their daughter like the way they keep disrespecting our daughter he reasoned. How long could he tolerate that? Good question, Shamu! Learn a little from your daughter and stand tall, and fight back for goodness sake. Enough is enough! Dadi tells him to trust the truth and all will be well soon. BTW, Prof. saheb we can't tolerate your behavior any longer either, so stop getting on our nerves. Better grow a spine, get your chin up and stand up to fight the Takurs before your family comes apart at the seams. Prof. saheb, after all these years, you still don't get that life isn't fair. The lena-dena rule doesn't work with the Takurs of the world. Wake up and smell the coffee! No more chai for you until you change your behavior, Bus, Bath Katham!
Preview: Prats calls Chandu bhaiyya and inquiries if he had seen Krishna. He said NOPE and wondered aloud why Krishna would leave without informing anyone. He asks Prats if they had a fight and Prats decides to stay silent. Krishna is standing on the edge of a cliff looking down, staring into the landscape yonder.
P.S.: Lovely to see the Takurs pushed back for a change. E kounsi sazaa hai? 25% percent of the show today was all about the Saxsenas and the Prof.'s chillayi and rona-dhona. Looks like soon we have to take a pratigya of our own. Enough of Krishna sulking already! It goes against his character and personality and usko shobha nahi detha. Please fix it POPs, pronto!
