Aaj Court ka tareek tha, Tuesday July 27. It was the Saxsena family's first family outing since Komal was grudgingly welcomed into the family. Too bad the head of the family was behind bars. Takurs taunted and terrorized their badi bahu into praying to God for Prat's Papa prolonged stay in jail and SS to successfully win the election. Krishna was stressed from all the kich-kich in courtroom while Prats remained pareshaan.
The show started with SS getting his jollies with taunting a stressed out Krishna waiting for his beebi so they could head to the courthouse. SS was angry with Prats for ruining his plans for a public parade of his "united" family to the unsuspecting folks around Allahabad so he could to garner their votes come election time.
Krishna in his usual blunt way warded off SS's taunts telling him to go to his "happy occasion". SS bent on having his last word took one more stab at Krishna and told him to collect his beebi's footware and do an aarati for her😈. Amma rejoiced in SS's insults with a smirky smile😛. It was a surprise to see Prats with tears in her eyes watching Krishna being ridiculed by his family, the same way she normally reacted when her sasural insulted her😭. Hmmm, why so much emotion for a naam ke vaste pati?😕
Kich-kich allergic Krishna, pareshaan Prats, Khaane mei man lagi Komal, anxiety ridden Adarsh, dreading Dadi, an anonymous Arushi and nervous Nainaji were present in the courtroom.
Perry Mathur, the defense legal eagle in his courtroom attire welcomed the Sax family to the courthouse. He assured the family that Mr. Sham will be freed in a day or two if all went well. The Sax family rewarded him for this piece of good news by baring their toothy pearls.😃 Not one to miss out on a reason to celebrate with food, Komal excitedly dreamed of tasting halwa and other goodies. But her sour-faced husband unable to see anyone happy while he fought off his conscience's voice told her to shut up. Luckily Krishna arrived on time to save his sister from more public humiliation and they headed into the courtroom. Prats assured nervous Nainaji she will soon spill the mega secret to Krishna soon. Soon? The court katcheri has already begun lady, wake up and smell the chai. Strike that, the chai has been the problem, make it smelling salts instead.😛
The kangaroo session was set to begin. The judge took his seat on the bench. Not an impressive looking judge either, he looked more like someone who was wanted by the law rather than one who upheld it.😛😆 The guard made a loud call for Prof. to appear in court "Jodhaa Akbar style". For a moment there I was looking for Hrithik Roshan to appear in his regal best as Jallauddin Akbar. 👏👍🏼Instead a depressed, worried and nervous Prof. Sham entered the room reminding us of another historical figure, Gandhiji.😕 He paused long enough to lock eyes with his wife, tearful Nainaji before he took his place in the courtroom.
The kangaroo court was in session and the case was finally underway. "And what a session it was!😛😉 Perry Mathur stood before the court and presented his defense on behalf of Mr. Sham😲. Arey bhai, e ka ulta seedha baath hai bey? Why was Perry Mathur presenting a defense before the prosecutor officially presented his charges in the case against Mr. Sham in court?😲 A koun sa vakil hai? He wanted to prove his client's innocence before he was even charged?😲
Kangaroo court zaroor bun gaya.😕 Prosecutor raised some relevant questions before the judge. Why would Prof. Sham go to meet the man who had harassed his family and had also been arrested after a complaint filed by his daughter Prats? Why would he go and meet Angad a second time in such poor weather conditions anyways? Wah! Prosecutor saheb, good questions!👏
Mr. Sham looked shocked like he had never considered that detail before he turned himself into the authorities for the crime.😲 The prosecutor asked the court's permission to present evidence that Mr.Sham had not committed the crime. Adarsh squirmed in his seat as if he was sitting on a hot bed of coals, his conscience finally waking him up to his role on that fateful night. Why did the prosecutor need two days to present his case, didn't he already have all the evidence? Is he waiting for KN to cough up the cash before proceeding with his job to keep the Prof. behind bars until the election?😉 Why was the case rushed to trial if both parties were not ready to present their evidence?😲 As expected judge went along with the prosecutor's request. The Sax family's nervousness and surprise was to be expected, they had no idea about the legal sytem. Lekin, why was Perry Mathur surprised by it?😲Krishna however sat there bored out of his mind.😆😆 He is no fan of the court katcheri stuff.😃😆😆😆
Back at SS Niwas, KN received a call from the corrupt prosecutor who guaranteed him that he would find a way to make sure Prof.stayed put in jail. SS celebrated 👏after hearing the news. He gloated to his family that KN had made all arrangements to assure Prof. lost the case. Kesar was held under duress to pray to God for Prof. to lose the case and stay in jail while SS wins the elections. These people have such evil intentions for their own rishtedaars? How did Krishna, an "anmole ratan" manage to survive living among a bunch of piranahs waiting to their prey?
The Saxsenas returned home for a private session of more rona-dhona.😭 Tired of their daily ritual and hungry having been denied her halwa treats Komal decided to get sarcastic and slide one home to the Saxsenas. She asked Nainaji to fix her lunch now that her bout of crying had given her some peace.😛😊 Got to admire the girl's guts👏. She picks the right moment to say what she needs to and gets their undivided attention every time. Prats should take a few lessons from Komal when it comes to timing.😉
SS's bahus shared details of their day's activites. Sweet bechari Kesar was repentant for her prayers under duress. Prats was sad her Papa had to extend his stay in jail. They supported each other and jointly prepared the meal for the waiting piranahs.

Just then there was a hungama in the square room at SS Niwas. Krishna and Prats arrive to see what the ruccous was all about. Sakthi informed him that a woman had left her husband to live with his friend. Who would have known? Krishna did panchayati too!😲 He slapped the man who thought his answer was he could get remarried and move on with his life. Krishna was furious and told the man that the wife was not a cart or horse and not something to be settled monetarily if things went wrong👏👏👏. Wah beta! Krishna reminded the man that his wife had been disloyal and unfaithful to him. He grabbed the gun KN had been polishing and asked the man to shoot his wife. This was Krishna's verdict for the man's problem?😲 Amma, Kesar and Ganti dadi watched the procceedings of their own version of court katcheri having missed the one at the courthouse earlier in the day as Krishna asked the man to fire the gun. Prats looked on in shock probably wondering her fate when the truth about Angad's kidnapping came to light.
The court had earlier recessed for the day, Saxsenas were still mourning their plight and SS was gloating about Prof. situation as he looked forward to his victory in the election. Krishna was stressed out and ready to blow his top off while Prats realized she had pinned herself into a corner now.😲
The court will reconvene tomorrow and so will we as we watch the vazzhakkai vakils present their versions of the case.
