Possibly bcos SS is unpad and from rustic background ...and I have often come across such ppl...whenever they want to know what I am studying ,they wud ask whether I have done my BA or MA ...they usually don't know any other degree !! and I think the CV's are quite aware of this and have used it in the plot !!

🤣...so true dear...it remind my marriage day...on the day of my halthi one old lady from my husband side asked me 'thum kithna padi ho...?' i was bit irritated with that question and said M.Sc,...she looked at me with disguest...srif M.Sc,??? BA kyun nahi? BA tak padna chahi yeh tha na..." i was like...🤣. as i am a bride i can't even laugh , my friends who where sitting beside me ran away from there to hide their laugh....😆
