No, thank you for posting a such sane thread. I mean, I totally get the whole fangirl moments. Trust me, I've had those but to justify rape...that's so beyond crazy. Don't love somebody (applies to ficitional characters as well) so much that you can't see their faults. Especially when their faults lead them to do criminal activities. I'm still baffled that people continue to justify Krishna. Yes, people are flawed. No one is perfect, but they must be held accountable for their actions. Obsession led Krishna to force Pratigya to marry him. He wants to force Pratigya to love him. He wants to force Pratigya into having a child. All Krishna knows is forcing people. What the other invididual wants doesn't matter.
If Pratigya was your daughter or sister, would you still be okay with Krishna's actions? No one in their right mind would say yes. This isn't the first time martial rape (or attempted) has been shown on indian television. It still boils my blood. Instead of these husbands paying for actions (jail time), they are always let off the hook. Who would feel safe with a husband like Krishna? This ticking time-bomb is diffusing. He can physically abuse his wife. He can attempt rape on his wife. He can KILL his wife. Krishna is dangerous. He needs professional help...not "lub".

Yes i do have fan girl moments too. Especially when it came to Angad from Kaisa ye pyar hai! I always supported him! But if he was in the wrong, i would say 'his wrong!' but that doesn't mean i hated him.

I don't know why people cannot just simply admit that their favorite character is wrong and flawed?!

I agree with you! If it was them personally then they would be against it. But because there sitting down watching it on tv, they find it 'okay'. When will people learn?

<font face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="3">I have seriously had enough with the biased posts being created in this forum! Reading such threads that promote violence against women has horrified me beyond words! I am currently ashamed of being a woman!

This show is portraying the violation and abuse of a woman's rights! And instead of voicing out your concern, individuals are supporting it! If your going to tell me to 'relax' and that it's just a 'show' then save your voice because I'm not interested! A show it may indeed be but how is it fictional?
</font>
<font face="Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="3">Physically abusing a woman! is that fiction or fact?
Verbally abusing a woman! is that fiction or fact?
Dominating a woman! is that fiction or fact?
Mentally violating a woman with threats! is that fiction or fact?
Portraying women as sexual objects! is that fiction or fact?
Raping a woman because they are seen as inferior! fiction or fact!?

You tell me! All those mentioned above is not fiction, it's fact! So stop supporting such actions! The irony of it all is the people who are justifying Krishna's actions actually hate Shakti and Angad! Funny isn't it? If Angad kidnaps a woman then <font color="#cc0000">'oh my god he is a monster!' </font>But if Krishna mistreats a woman then '<font color="#cc0000">oh my god my krishuuu is not bad, Pratigya and so what are to blame!'</font>If Shakti hits his wife or rapes her, '<font color="#cc0000">oh my god I hate Shakti etc' </font>but if Krishna 'attempts' to force himself upon Pratigya then '<font color="#cc0000">it's not his fault!</font> '

A question i'd really like to ask. To what extent should Krishna go to before you guys admit that he is bad? Because all of the bad things his done, everyone still justifies it! How unfair is that! Krishna actually has to rape Pratigya or murder her, for someone to admit that his actions are wrong! The fact that the actual deed is not done, makes him good? The mitigating factors are not taken into consideration? This is similar to the cops! They won't do anything until the deed has been done. What a corrupted justice system!

Us girls should sit there and wait for someone to actually completely hurt us in order for people to stand up and support us?

Why are we being biased and overlooking a characters flaws? I understand some may love him but c'mon when something is wrong, it's damn wrong!

Fight for women's rights and say no to domestic violence! Your input may help to motivate abused women to stand up on their own feet and fight against it!

Read this poem people! 😭 Do not justify acts like these.

Samira,

in a way i agree with you that for women's rigts we shouldn't be supporting/justifing Krishna's action, but i don't think we can say that Krishna's the villian in this story (as we know he is the hero and Kriya love story will happen) if we all start hating Krishna and loosing faith in him, what is the point of Kriya, what is the point of Krishna and Pratigya love story???
for me personally if i start seeing Krishna as the villian i would never want Pratigya to love him
it's very true that all the points the show focuses on is real and not fiction and you have to give props to the CVs for highlighting these issues, and i think thats why they show Krishna doing these things but never going through or stopping himself, it raises awareness, but doesn't completely show Krishna as a viliian, a ray of hope left
the CVs are showing Krishna realistically, we never expected Krishna to be a complete and loving husband and be all good like Nitin (if you did then you were watching the wrong show) we all saw how his family were and how his upbringing was
so you can say what you like and everyone is entitled to their views, but i personally think that the CVs write in such tracks like almost rape, the choking, the treats etc, to focus people on the realty of such marriages, if they showed Krishna to be good and loving husband how will the issues they want to highlight be raised? i don't think it would have the same impact just being shown through Amma and Kesar
last thing I just want to say that everyone has their views and thoughts but lets not judge each other and say whos right and wrong, the CVs have been doing a great job, the show has reached number one and we are still great fans of it, so lets not debate and argue about whats right and wrong and just enjoy the show
Please don't take offence to my thoughts and don't start bashing me
Haila i wrote a essay, ab main be professorari jahad rahe ho😕😆

Hey Mima ! 😆 We all become professors after watching Pratigya. 😆

No dear, i'm totally not taking any offence with your thoughts. And I'm not going to bash you! 😆

I'm not trying to portray Krishna as the villain, i am aware he is the hero and am myself waiting desperately for some romantic scenes! The whole purpose of this show was to highlight that such incidents do occur in reality and that a change can be brought into such acts. I love this drama because of the storyline, I like the fact that the main character has grey shades. Because personally, i'm sick of cheesy and common heroes.

Krishna's behavior was expected and not out of the blue. I knew he has major flaws but then that's needed in order for Pratigya to change him for the good. 😊

The only thing i'am against is the fact that some threads are promoting violence and blaming all the women. One thread says that Angad or Shakti should treat Arushi a lesson and that it's not Krishna's fault. Tell me, how could I have endured reading such things?

Everyone has their favorites, Krishna happens to be the only reason why i even watch this show but that doesn't mean his actions can be justified. There are threads where members claim that even IF he does rape her, they will continue to love and support him. I personally was horrified by such statements. Therefore I made this thread not to bash Krishna but to try to open certain peoples eyes and to tell them that domestic violence and rape is not a joke. I'm trying to raise awareness that Krishna's actions should not be perceived as 'hot' as some people have claimed. Because that's a massive blow to people and women in this forum who may have been a victim or witness to domestic violence in any form.

I admire you for your comments and I respect your opinion Mima.

Thank you for the comment dear 😳
I'm following your footsteps and have made an essay for you too! 😆
