This thread is not meant to be a Krishna vs. Pratigya tit-for-tat match. Any logical and healthy discussion of the subject matter is welcome. This show is after all about the plight of women and the issues they face in Indian society(maybe around the world too). Please refrain from petty attacks on fellow posters.

While the reasons for introducing the recent pregnancy tracks into the story line is not clear, we know Prats's pregnancy is fake. But for the purpose of this discussion, let's leave the other characters out of the picture and concentrate on Prats as she is today and ask the question.................will she make a good mother? Can a woman really love the child of a husband she vows to hate forever? Like it or not the child will inherit 50% genes from his father.

Motherhood demands a whole range of traits from empathy, love, caring, understanding and forgiveness to name a few. Pratigya today is focused on solving problems at her sasural's, while teaching them a few lessons when the situation presents itself. Her marriage is at a status quo since the wedding.

What does she need to do to get herself on track to lead a happy and fulfilling married life for years to come?

Well, most of the heroines are goody2shoe-type characters, so she'll be molded by the CVs into an adequate mother too. 😳

I shld say it is very lucky that Prats is not pregnant because her marital situation is not at all conducive to have one. If she had a kid now the child wld directly be affected by their constant arguements.
She has shown concern for Kesar so she will be able to show feeling towards the child as long as he or she doesn't look like Krish if she has a baby now

Relation between mother and child is a unique relation.Yes there are some mothers who use their off springs, but there are also too many reasons. That is not the main issue to discuss.

Coming to the motherly love for a child. In every woman this instinct of motherhood is somehow present. Some show the affection..some don't.As Pratigya ,may be she will be a mother as the story will progress, that time she will not hate the child just because it has 50% DNA configuration to that person who made her life hell once.. and so on.This mother and child bond is eternal.Only a mother can say who is the father of her child(If there was no method of DNA test like modern medical science) ..the oldest instinct..such as rage, anger, sexual needs..motherhood is one thing which is clearly shown into the animal world too.

Someday Krishna's sperm will be planted in her uterus..but she will not hate the child. As she will share a long term bond with her unborn child. The child will be fed if she will eat,the child will be healthy if she will remain in a healthy atmosphere. Krishna did great harm to her reputation and her family glory too..but the child will have its structure from Pratigya's body..her own child made with her own blood. The very moment..she will pregnant..I think, she will be determined that her child will not be that bully like his father who really never cared about anyone's feelings ..just became stubborn..and at the same time..she will decide that her child will not be that helpless that she felt when she was under the pressure.

She will surely bring up her child as a balanced character who will not do any harm to anyone but who will be able to wipe out every blow from the outside world too.

That's all Your Grace..I rest my case.😃

OMG Ananya!!tht was really very touching.Loved the way you described the bond between a mother and her child.
When Pratigya becomes a mother,I can guarentee anyone tht she will love her child and will not show or bear anything against the child just because it happens to be Krishna's as well.A mother and child relationship is so far the best relationship ever(trust me,personal experience). It is something even which words can't describe,it can only be felt and experienced. No matter what a mother will always be loving and affectionate towards her child as it is her own. They don't say tht the woman is the one who carries her baby for 10 months for nothing you know.So no matter what, being the very good human being tht Pratigya is,she'll undoubtedly make a very good mother when she becomes one in the furture😊

They say Motherhood comes natural to a woman but I don't think it is true. I have seen many women who just have kids for many other reasons but it doesn't gaurantee they will be a good mothers:

Some have to bind her marriage, some have becasue they don't have any pupose in life, some have because it is expected from them even if they are not mentally or emotionally prepared for it.

Motherhood is not everyone's cup of tea. Some parents give their children all the material comforts but hold back on their emotional needs. The greatest gift a child can get from their parent is TIME. Parents who tune into their all their needs and emotional comfort. A child learns more about relationships watching his/her parents interact with each other. If a woman can't forgive her spouse or feel empathy to her spouse will she be able to provide them to her child? What if it is not something she is capable of? Not everyone is capable of dealing with all ranges of emotions. If it were true, we won't have people avoiding life.
The scientific fact is that a child can inherit DNA from as far as seven generations away from either side of the family. Imagine how wide the DNA pool will be? Can Prats really guarantee that her child will not have any trait from SS's parivaar? Imagine the child with a temper like Sakthi or SS? What if the child is not good at acedamics but has street smarts like his father's family? She may be able to teach her sasural a few lessons but what happens when her child is born with the same traits?😕

I totally agree with that statement that is why in present situation bringing a child into Kriya's life wld be a disaster. Children are very perceptive. They can sense slightest level of hostility between parents.

As we have seen in this TV drama, people live what they know. Children in particular DO what their parents do, not what their parents ASK them to do.
