Dude, remember the leap! 7yrs after Ashok was born, Kaurwaki was born and then 15yrs later we have the story that we're watching now! Meaning, Karuwaki is 15 and Devi might be the same age!

I'm keeping tabs, uptil Wednesday's episode. Couldn't bring myself to watch the last 2 episodes!!

Ashok is 22, Devi is 16 and Karu is 15, then by now Sushim should be a married man 🤣😂 if that's their true ages in the show, it's actually accurate historically. Don't be surprised here.

Helena and Chandragupta had almost 19 years age gap, still the couple was popular, Helena didn't find it weird because it was normal among royalty to marry an old guy if he was king. It meant she might give birth to an heir. Conditions were very different from current times. Due to same reason Seleucus married Stratonice, to get more heir. It's not always lust. If he lusted or loved her he wouldn't divorce her and give her to his son.

1- Mahadevi Nandini - Independent, easily took her own decisions, hopelessly in love, passionate for her husband

2- Agramahishi Ragyi Durdhara - Religious, Kind, Emotional, Pious and Freakishly Loyal

3- Daughter of Suluva- Regal and Majestic

4- Helena, Daughter of Seleucus - Stubbornly childish and difficult to control, possessive and territorial for her husband, extremely beautiful , voluptuous and sensual

5- Janpad Kalyani Subhadhrangi - Extremely Beautiful, patient and intelligent, in one source she is called Agramahishi but her story refutes it.

6- Shakyani Vidisha MahaDevi- Self respecting and loyal wife of Ashok

7- Dwitiya Devi Karuwaki - Dominant and charitable

8- Devi Padmavati - Mother of Heir of Ashok, beautiful eyes

9- Agramahishi Asandhimitra - Meritorious, kind, intelligent, gracious, lovable, progressive and independent

10- Agramahishi Tisyarakshita - Jealous, promiscuous, evil and dumb

Only Durdhara possessed both regal titles, Ragyi and Agramahishi,

Asandhimitra , Suluva's daughter and Tisyarakshita had title of Agramahishi ,

Nandini and Vidisha Devi had title of Mahadevi,

Padmavati , Karuwaki and Helena had title of Devi

Mothers of Charumati and Jalauka were Bhoganya (Concubines)

Tisyarakshita and Helena were very young when they entered Antahpura.

Mahadevi meant first wife or leader of harem

Agramahishi meant first among all the queens, no one was above her. Sometimes Mahadevi and Agramahishi both were given to same woman. But usually Agramahishi was the one who wasn't first wife but had all the rights of the queen.

Devi was a normal title given to Princesses

Yeah, at times it's a duty or a chore to expand the lineage!

I read them all. But retaining them all, that's the key part. So I have to read them over and over to remember them. But I think I'll remember the colorful list you've made. It's ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yes, marriage with Tisyarakshita was completely out of lust and it brought doom of Ashok. Out of lust and compassion Bindu gave Subhadhrangi status which brought his doom as Ashoka. 🙄 Chandragupta was a very moralistic man (as Megasthenes called him). Even his marriages were calculative. He didn't want to marry Nandini just because she left her father for him. He questioned her loyalty and found her promiscuous. Only after assurances of Chanakya he married her. He still didn't trust her.

He obviously was smitten by Helena and couldn't resist her but he wasn't dumb that just because she was giving him pleasure he would give a childish woman like her some authority unlike what Ashok did. Tisyarakshita saved him from a disease and he thought her as some saint like Asandhimitra, he was greatly duped by that dumb evil lady . Thats why Chandragupta is called best of sovereigns, from wars to harem to his wives, he controlled everything really efficiently.

Chandragupta never married for love unlike what some internet sites show. He was greatly skilled in resisting lust. He married Nandini , Helena, daughter of Suluva and even Durdhara as strategy. He wanted loyal woman on the throne with him so he married Durdhara. He did not make any enemy princess his Agramahishi but had to give title of Mahadevi to Nandini to please her as she was as princess of former dynasty and he needed her support for stability. Helena he couldn't resist but only after marriage. He followed all moral standards which should be followed by a gentleman. And it's not like Helena herself would let her hubby neglect her. She was so possesive, territorial and demanding. As a teen she craved for romance and as an adult CGM was happy that such a young girl was so passionate for him and saw her as opportunity for more heirs. He wasn't romantic, any romance of his died with Durdhara 😢 but he occasionally showered Helena with gifts to keep her romantic bubble intact and he also thought about his young kids and wanted their mother to be happy 😂🤣 happy wife happy life 😐 his poor Agramahishi 🤣😂 I sometimes really feel sorry for whosoever his Agramahishi after Durdhara, she had to jhelo this chaos 😂🤣

Maybe that's why I like Devi in the show, I always wanted to see territorial Helena who would never let any woman even look at CGM 😈Chandra Nandini dealt it very wrongly, she made an innocent teen a really cheap villain. 😐 She was possesive but wasn't a villain either. She had a wonderful relationship with Bindusara and never once tried to make her babies crown prince, she knew place of Bindusara in CGM's heart really well. She saw Bindusara like a friend as they were in same age group.
