Karan said Not at all the first time I meet the producer Mr Rajan shahi and he said I am doing show called bidaai and I said yes sir but I don't know anything abt bidaai and rajan sir said its k its my no.1 shw, now I am going to do another show so lets do the shw so we never imagined before now also after 5 yrs wenever we meet we laugh nd say what we have done together 5 yrs so it wasnt predicted.
Then Raj asked what made show work for so long ?
Karan said the characters in the show are very realistic nd no negativity or major drama so its realistic plots so audience connect with show they just love us and the audience have loved us nd shown dedication towards yeh rishta ..
Then Raj says its unusual that show running for 5 yrs whereas in 1 or 2 years u cn see shws going off air
Karan said I truly agree with you I guess my stars have been lucky that we are just going on and on as u hv lots of show shuting down in 3 months or 4 months and we have cm so far its purely our luck.

Karan laughed and said Yea if u see other shows we are the longest running show on star plus right now, and even if u compare with other shows leads have been changing even if u take BV the leads have been changing so,its our show where leads have stayed back for so long.And raj says the show is doing great in India as well as here in UK and congratulated him
Then Raj asked if You can see (Karan) Yeh rishta ending in sometime or Continuing for ever?
Karan says Well thats totally unpredictable ,it depends on audience if some day they feel that they are not liking the show or something like that happens then ,but i dont think that is gonna happen ever,we have been doing it and continuing to do ,its good that we keep entertaining the audience like we have been doing from last 5 yrs even after 3 yrs even after 4th and 5th yr rumors coming of Yeh rishta ending but i have never seen Yeh rishta shut so its really hard to predicte that Yeh rishta will ever end ..

Mayoo:Is there any leap coming soon ? Will actors be changing ?
Karan: No the actors are not changing ,and its just a small leap of an year i guess its been telecasted here in India so its just an leap of year wherein how situation has changed after gayatri mom death,how is Naitik-AKshara feeling , how is bauji now ? so its still the same only a leap of year is taken .
Now talking abt your mother in the show how did you accept the change ?
Karan: Hmm it was a change nobody expected ,that was the 1st ever drama created in the show ,but she had to move on in life for better things in life .So that's the case stories do keep changing in situations bt lets the story is going revlove and now something new is going to come which will build the interest of audience .
Ayushi:Being part of the show for 5 yrs arent you(karan) bored palying same role ?
Karan: Well doing a daily soap becomes very monotonus to be very honest ,its on-going thing you keep on doing everyday and 5 years is a very long time ,bt i try always try nd disconnect myself from the character and keep doing other things like events or doing adverts or like the reality (Nach)so i keep doing things to pull back from getting bored doing daily soap so this keeps me lil fresh nd get back on wat i do.
farrukh baig:Whats the reason behind the wonderful chemistry between you and Hina Khan ?
Karan:Smiles and says I think ahhh,I dono from the begining its been like this ,People have loved the chemistry between us that is shown,bt its pure professional work even today its an on-going thing we do its natural we come set we are given scene and at times we dont even reherse and enact it and just lil inputs from the director and the scene is done so over the year its become very easy more comfortable to do scene together and its nice to see ppl still love our chemistry.
How much time do you (Karan) and Hina spend time together off-set ?
Karan:We dont spend time off the shoot as once i am out from the shoot i am a totally different person,i am very tied up doing other things ,spend time with family and my wife,bt otherwise we actors on set have cordial relationship with each and everyone on set
Who is your best crtics apart from nisha?
Karan: Apart from Nisha , at times its My mom dad or directors who give me inputs which is very rare,but Nisha has always been my best crtics.
Piya bawari: Your(Karan) Fav romantic scene in Yeh Rishta?
Karan:hmmm there have been so many romantic scenes ,we have shot couple off scenes in hilly pads like mountains and even in udaipur last year in feb there we loads of scene u know vows were taken again and lot of romantic scenes,Daily we have given a scene ,wer a song is played and we have had our own moments happening ,be it someone's marriage or others busy doing something ,the entire focus is on us,even if its makar sankranti and we just have a corner to ourself ,both of us our singing and danincg and having romanitic saga there,so there so many stuffs that i can remember since the begning their love as grown there are lots of memories over 5 yrs there have been lots of romantic scenes between Naitik Akshara ..
Jayli: Would try out some different role because you have been pulled of Yeh rishta for so long?
Karan: I would love to actually,i am not gonna leave the show until the show goes off air someday,but yes as an actor i would love to grow,i need to do different things break the shell of playing the character of Naitik and its going to be challenge for me as well and for an actor that way he can grow as well,so i would love to do that .
Duggu:I Would Love to see in a role of VIllan soon..
Karan: I dono i would be the cutest villan ever ,a chocolaty villan on Indian television ,but i would try and do justice to the role ,change my apperance or do something i would love to do that .
Surbhi Maheswari : How has it been after Gayatri mom leaving the show?
karan : ahmmm Personally also we had a great relationship so missing her on show as well,but as Mom gayatri for Naitik its a quiet big transition as he never expected something like this to happenand it really broke him down as well and after the leap that has come even he has come out of it and now they remember her (GayatriMa) for good moments ,good things,good memories that he has of his mom but they ahve learnt to live without her,that's a big change.
TeamKaranMehra:How did you meet Rajan sir ? Was it easy to proof that you were perfect for Naitik?
Karan:I think i was just lucky there ,previously i was lined up for another show on star one and that never started was waiting for it for about 8 months and somehow i got call for this show and i went and meet Mr.Rajan Shahi he was kneen that i come and see him and i jsut went and we sat for 2 hours discussing about the show the role and he just liked me sitting and he said ki"i think your the perfect guy for Naitik" And next day i was off to Jaipur Udaipur for the Promo shoot and it was quick turn around.
Your fav Bolly actor/Actress?
Karan: Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachan and Kajol as actress
Yeh Rishta has composed many songs,which one is your personal favourite song?
Karan: Piya bawari is one of the favourite song it has even touched my heart when its played .
If given chance to exchange your wardrobe with Bollywood/Hollywood actor who would it be ?
Karan: I think may saif ali khan he has very good collection
Apurvasingh:Your fav bollywood movie new or old ?
Karan: Hmmm its sholay i have always loved watching and even kabhie-kabhie
Chirpybird: Your fav among the young actors today ?
Karan : Shivansh who plays Naksh is good ,the younger lot that is coming up is very talented though i dono many ppl who have come recently and dont remember many of them as well.
Hiranlover:Want to know about your recent TVC in chennai?
Karan:yea there is a new brand i shot for,there 2 brands actually in chennai down south this december 17,18 and 19
it was good fertilizer brand stuff it was something new that i did it was like a farmer in an add and in other i was like an executive trying to tell something to farmer and stuff like that ,after long time i have done something big like this and its good brand and i have tied up with them for 2 years as brand ambasador its a nice change
