CHAPTER 12:

they both ran for a while, jodha could not run further...
"hum nahin baag sakthe aur" she was really tiered, and fell on the ground...he too rested on ground... and were trying to catch some air...
"jodha Begum, kya aapko sher ke bacche aur kargosh ke bacche maein farak nahin dikhayi diya"...
Jodha was annoyed ..
"shehensha humne kabhi sher ke bacche ko nahin dekha tha pehle, i saw him lonely wandering around, he looked cute so i picked him up.."
he laughed her at innocense..
"jodha begum, its dangerous to be inside the forest for long time, its getting night soon lets move out of the forest...now... come on get up.."
"no shehensha i cant move, i am really tiered..."
"jodha begum try to understand if we stay inside jungle for long time, any animals can attack us, nor i have sword or horse near me to protect you..."
Jodha tried to get up but was unable to move...
Jalal could not see her struggle for long time... and he immediately picked her again in his arms... and started moving, this time jodha dint resist his nearness...
Jalal tried to moved out of jungle and was trying to find a way to move out of it...
he saw a old bride built accross the river
got a hint that there must be some people nearby who have built that bridge to cross the river...
Meanwhile Jodha slept in his arms... Jalal while crossing the bridge looked at her face...and was mesmerized by her beauty, he saw the moon and than her face, he smiled pricelessly at her...
Soon he crossed the river... and his eyes wanderd around to find a resting place, as it was already night...
He heard some shoutings nearby, and saw some fire nearby...and he reached the place, and saw some men and women who were the children of jungle...
one men saw Jalal with jodha and approched him...
"who are you what are you doing here this time"
"i am abdul, and its my wife we lost our way while travelling, my wife is not well and we need shelter for tonight, we will move out of the jungle tomorrow if we find a way, please help us..."
"okie dont worry, come with me, i will give you a place to rest tonight..."
He along with another man came to jalal and showed a hut for them to rest that night... Jalal took jodha inside the hut and made her lie on the ground...
"Abdul, i think you are wife is tiered a lot, make her wake up, i will bring food for you ..."
the man went out of the hut...
Jalal glanced at the place to make sure it was safe place for them to stay...
soon he saw the man coming inside the hut, he got jalal a bedsheet, and a some food in the plate...
and handed over to jalal...
"Abdul, it is too late in the night, have some food and rest,wake up your wife, its not good to sleep empty stomach... and now close the door as it is forest, animals may be wandering around.,,, and i will be staying in the nearby hut, if need any help in night just call out my name,...and i will come .."
saying this man took the leave...
Jalal smiled at him.. and immediately closed the door behind him...
Jalal went to jodha who was sleeping still and tried to wake her up...but she was full asleep ...
"jodha begum utiye, thoda kha lijiye baad maein so jayiye.."
Jodha woke up but was not in mood to eat
"jodha begum muh koliye hum aapko khiladenge"..
Jodha was in deep sleep, she immeditaley obliged him...
Jalal fed the food to her and he ate too...he wiped her mouth and made her drink water... soon she again slept...
Jalal wanted to sleep away from her,. as it was not safe place to leave her alone as it was forest... he lit the fire in middle of hut and collected some woods kept at the corner...
and slept next to jodha and covered herself with bedsheets...as there was no pillow for her comfort, he lifted her head and put his shoulders near...
she without knowing its jalal who is next to her...slept next to him..on his shoulders.
Jalal felt like heaven to sleep near her proximity...

It was the morning time, jalal opened his eyes and saw jodha sleeping on his chest, hugging him, he was surprised and meanwhile happy to see her near him, he dint want the time to move, he wanted to stay like this with Jodha forever... he was happy inside, but he heard the knock at the door and took her arms and removed it from his chest and made her sleep and covereed her ...
He opened the door and saw the man... he had come early in the morning
"how was the night, hope you were comfortable..come with me fresh up soon i will get you breakfast...i think you are wife might be tiered a lot".
Jalla left with man ..to freshen up...
the sun rays entered the hut through window fell on her angelic face...it irritated her...she tried to turn her face away, but soon her sleep broke...she opened her eyes slowly saw herself in a hut, and covered with bedsheet... she could not remember how she came here and searched for jalal but he was no where...
she tried to remember but she could not...she got up immeditely before she could open the door ...Jalal entered it...
"jodha begum, thayyar hojayiye, nasta aagaya hai, humaein jaldi yahan se jaana chahiye.."
jodha nodded yes, soon they took the leave from the place and found a way to move out of the forest...

Jalal and jodha were walking soon they reached village which comes under the territory of mughals sultanate...meanwhile jodha saw Reva wandering there... she was shocked to see all the baandhis there
and Reva saw jodha and said pranaam to her and jalal was surprised to see her... and told what happened there after they left the camp...
Soon wasim khan reached that place along with ahmed and munim khan,...
they sighed a relief after seeing jalal safe...
Jalal enquired about the attackers... soon they left the place and reached Agra in the evening...
Jalal ordered jodha and all her baandis not to disclose about the attack...

"humeain tho lagtha hai ye kisi apne ka hi kaam hai shehensha.." Atgah sab told jalal
"who it can be "... jalal asked curiuosly
"i strongly doubt it to be adham khan behind this attack"
Jalal lifted his hands and signalled him to stop it...
"i will never doubt my brother...he can never do it, may be your investigation is wrong this time... i think we should catch the culprit soon...he is trying to misguide us.."

Moti came and hugged joda...
"jodha without you staying in agra is like jail, that hoshiyar is a trouble..."
"what happened moti now what did hoshiyaar do.."
"jodha he is not normal, he keep on searching something in our room, always listens others talk silently...and always tried to.."
'oh oh moti stop it...how much you complain about himmm"
Meanwhile Hoshiyaar enters the room, seeing him both jodha and moti changed the topic...

Jalal knew that Atgah sahab can never be wrong, but tried to fool himself..
meanwhile Ruqu entered the room and hugged him...
"Ruquaiyya tum..."
"Haan jalal hum kaise pehchaanliya"
"ye kaisa sawal hai, hum hamesha aapke kadmon ke ahat se hi aapko pehchaanlethe hai.."
"lekin jalal humne socha ab aap humaein pehchnenge nahin"
"wo kyun"
"isliye jalal, kuch din aap jodha begum ke saath gujaarne ke baad, aapko hamari adath kam hogayi hogi.."
"ruquaiyya, itne saare begumaein aayi aur chali bhi gayi, jodha begum unhi begumon maein ek hai, lekin aap hamari begumaein khaas hai.."
"ye sunke accha laga jalal, hum tho darr gaye the, jab se salim chisti nawab sahab told that jodha will give waris to you...that you will forget me one day for jodha begum.."
"never ruquaiyya, Jodha is just a way to get me waaris, other than that she dont hold any importance in my life..."
"Jalal what are you saying, she is not important to you..."
Jalal remained silent for a while and looked at the sunset...
"jalal anwer me, is she not important to you..."
"no ruquaiyya...i love two women in my life, one is badi ammi and other one is you..."
