Yes, he did leave IPK for bollywood.

He shot for IPK and Main aur mrs. right simultaneously, which acc to him left him over exhausted, so he had to leave.

He took lots of small breaks from IPK in btwn while shooting for MAMR which hampered the original storyline nd had to b altered each tym he took a break for his muvi shoot, finally he decided to take a "longish" break nd rest is history...
