CHAPTER-3.

Veera ran as fast as she could..Her feet eating away the distance,as she ran into her house..

"VEERJI!"She called out..

Ranvi was just walking into the house,when he noticed her calling him in the courtyard..

His eyes instantly took in her disheveled and wet state..With thudding heart he ran upto her..

"VEERAKDHI!KI HOYA TENU?!!"

Instantly turned and gave him a tight hug..

"VEERAKDHI TENU KI HOYA?!TU AISI BHEEG KAISI GAYI..?"He asked in a worried voice,as he caressed her back tenderly.

Veera did not reply but instead shivered and hugged him tighter..

Ranvi's heart squeezed tighter in seeing her little sis so scared and shocked ..He just knew he had to calm her down..

He hugged her tighter into his arms,and placed soft kiss on top of her head..And Veera hugged him tighter still,hiding her face within his chest..

Unaware of both,a silent form had just come up,and stood at the gate to their house..Her eyes nearly bulged out,just before a silent sob escaped her lips..

Gunjan turned and ran to her house..Her feet increasing the distance between herself and the hugging couple..

Her heart squeezing in pain,for some unknown reason..

Baldev sat in the hallroom alone,with his feet propped up on a stool..Lost in thoughts of the river incident..

He had just changed and freshened up into a fresh new maroon kurta..But his mind still kept playing the flashback of the scene,of the girl,of the feel of her soft body in his arms..

His fingers again touched his lips..As a smile came once again..He had never thought kissing a girl would be so pleasurable..

Till now he had basically stayed away from girls,as he was mostly busy in bullying people around..But this girl,this unknown girl,had started an all new chapter in his life..

He chuckled softly,as he remembered her leaning onto him..He did not what it was he was feeling,but he knew that,he had to find more about her and fast..

He was just remembering how she had clung to him in the water,when Gunjan banged into the house,breaking into his pleasurable thoughts..

With a dark scowl,he turned to snap at her,when he noticed her irked face..

His eyes still not able to see the sadness that she hid under her anger..But the scowl vanished to a thoughtful frown.

"Gunjan!Ki hoya tainu?!Aag sirf dimaag vich hai ya aur kahi?"He asked curiously.

Strangely Gunjan did not stop to give him a petty remark like she usually did..That increased his curiosity further,as he jumped up and ran after her..

"RUK!BATA MAINU KI HOYA?!"He held her hand,so that she could not move..

She turned to blast him with an angry look..

Baldev was completely taken aback by her mood.He gentled his grip.

"Ki hoya?Mainu bata to sahi!Akhir veerji hu main teri.."

Gunjan scoffed at that statement making him nearly lose his temper.

"Bare aye..Abhi aap nu yaad aya,aap meri veerji hai?!"

"Gunjan!Tu batayegi ki hua?!"

"Aur hona kya hai..Aai hai ek kuri pind vich sheher se.."Baldev's ears perked up at that..

"Tainu pata hai?!Mera matlab tainu kaise pata?Tune dekha use?"

"Dekha hai na..Sheher ki kuri.Ake hi ladko ki gale vich parna aur jhappi dena shuru kardi..!"She huffed..

Instantly Baldev let go of her hand,as his ears suddenly heated up with embarrassment,and a reddish tinge came along his neck ..Quickly he looked away,and fixed his collar,as he tried to hide his embarrassment..

"Tainu kaise pata?Tu dekha hai ki?Kuch bhi gaal karti hai.."

"Ai lo!Ye kaise gaal kar rahe ho tussi veerji?!Maine apni in dono akho se dekha hai..Abhi to wo kudi Ranvi ko jappi de rahi thi..Aisi pakri thi,jaise wo uska-.."

Baldev did not let her finish,as he whirled around in shock and anger.

"Ki bola tune?!Phir se bol?!"

"Kiu?!Aap ne khud ki dono kaan ki kisiko udhar mei diya tha veerji jo meri gaal tussi sunai nahi di?!Maine kaha wo kudi abhi se Ranvi ko jappiya dena shuru kardi..Kaal se to pappiya degi shayaad!Naam bhi ki?!KHUSHBOO!Uski naam to BADBOO honi chahiye thi!Veera ne bhi na!Kaisi kaisi dost banayi sheher vich jake!Aane do usse!"Gunjan grumbled to herself and left for her room..

Leaving a shocked,confused and angry Baldev standing at the hall..

"Khushboo..Veera ki dost?!!Ye Veera na mainu kabhi chain se jeene nahi degi!Jaha bhi jau tapak parti hai!Aab iththe bhi aa gayi,uss kudi nu dost banke!"He gritted his teeth in anger,when suddenly he remembered what Gunjan had said..

Khushboo was hugging Ranvi?!And maybe even now,she had started kissing him!!!

Baldev clenched his hand into tight fist..His eyes burning with anger..

It was night,and after dinner Ranvi had come to tuck Veera in,in her bed..It had taken him some time to calm her down in the evening..

But she had not explained the cause of her turmoil to him as yet..

A thoughtful frown crossed his forehead as he tucked her blanket in,knelt down and gently placed a soft kiss on her forehead..

She smiled at him with all the love in her beautiful eyes,and he helplessly smiled back,and placed another soft kiss on her cheek..

Unaware by both of them,a dark shadow stood just outside on the balcony of the room,rage burning in his dark eyes,and his hands clenched into tight fists,as he watched Ranvi kissing her..

So Gunjan was right!Baldev thought furiously..

"Sleep tight.."Ranvi said softly before closing the bedroom door and leaving..

Veera had just turned to her side,when she heard the sound..

CLICK!

She turned instantly,and noticed someone had locked her bedroom door from the inside..

Shocked,and her eyes wide open, she tried to squint into the darkness,when she noticed the tall dark shadow standing just beside her..

Scared out of her wits she opened her mouth to scream,when her sound was muffled by a large rough hand closing over her mouth..
