Birpur lives in a bewitched state under super magician Tejawat. They marry their daughters off to a stranger in neighboring country and live at peace knowing that they will never come back. But if they come back they cut their ties with them. It sure sounds like old Vikram-Vaitaal story. Magic, Hypnotism, Evil spell... all in 2013... wonder which part of the continent would the story line fit in current era ?

Sorry to say,,but even now in rural india,the parents think once the daughter is married off,their job is done and they would encourage her living with an abusive husband rather than bring her back home and take care of her. Burning of the brides and abusing them is a norm among low income population.why do yu think female infanticide is more in India!??.
