What is Nikhil thinking asking Laajo to tell him when she falls in love? She stays buried in the house. Whom will she meet of course other than Nikhil himself to fall in love?

The question should have been whether laajo is or ever was in love. Whatever laajo a answer is to Nikhil asking if she will tell him will be true not a lie.

It's one way to look at it, the way you described, that she will fall in love with him, as no-one else she can meet in her situation and Laajo should tell him, that's what he was hoping for, but I'm thinking the way Nikhil is thinking right now, is how to get rid of Laajo is if she fell in love also (like him) and left him happily for someone one else, so he can continue with Ishana and marry her instead. But you've hit on something, where would Laajo meet another guy, as she is housebound and doesn't go anyway. So Nikhil didn't think of that as this whole matter has made him confused.
