Emraan Hashmi's little son diagnosed with cancer

Monday brought in some grave news for Emraan Hashmi and his family when his four-year-old son Ayan was diagnosed with cancer. The child was admitted to Hinduja hospital where scans revealed that Ayan was suffering from a tumour in his kidney. Thankfully, it's still in its first stage and is therefore curable.

Emraan who was earlier distraught and broke down on hearing the news is now believed to have pulled himself together and is looking ahead to get his son's ailment completely cured. His uncle Mahesh Bhatt was quoted telling a leading newspaper that Emraan has now transformed into a gladiator who would take all the challenges in his stride.

"The bone marrow scan says it is clear, so it is first-stage cancer and thus curable. This is the mother of all pains and life cannot get worse than this. I will make sure as a parent that I will create a firewall around him and protect him. He will do all his professional jobs with the same professional commitment without anything or anybody being affected with minor readjustments," Mahesh Bhatt was quoted saying.
