just a curious question. Is it worth just to give some so called dark past history to the male lead to spend this much of time ,money and other resources( not to mention so much over the top action) and in the end to create what? So he can abuse the female lead in the name of romance? How about the female lead even though she is also from dark past but she is very composed, shy and all that? Why the production house for a change didn't think to reverse the scene and make the female lead as who doesn't believe in love and relations and a bitter person and the hero comes from shy and middle class background and story unfolds from there? Why still in 2014 makers are doing same old stuff.

Keep the romance/love part aside.
This story is more than just love-hate or romance. If you watch it then I don't need to explain anything here.

Simple, the CVs are all males ( I think)
No matter how mordern we are,we still like the submission part.go to nytimes.com.they have written an article about indian soaps, which says even now, saas and bah us will only watch submissive shows and any shows which shows female independent,is not a TRP garner...

The male being all the not believing in love, ruthless etc. is what connects alot more with viewers
Im not sure how many will accept a woman in that type of role although personally i would like it but Indian TV doesn't explore much with concepts so i shall stick to my British/American shows that might show this

Having said that i do love this show, the way everything has panned out including characterisation. I know the female lead (Paro) will eventually rise from the ashes and not be as fragile as she is now :D
