why did lootera dint get nominations

such a beautiful film it is
why did they not nominate
sonakshi was the only one who is nominated
and CE getting all nominations and winning also 😭
i am not against any film but ignoring such a classic film i felt sad.

I think there is definitely more to Lootera not being nominated anywhere. At Screen, every good film was given at least a few nominations and won at least one award- even films which had little buzz or hype around them, like Club 60 or BA Pass, were nominated and even won.

At first I thought maybe Screen and Phantom guys have some issues between them- but same thing is happening in other awards also. :-S

whatever the reason this movie will remain as one of the classic BW films which can be watched even after a decade and its a winner
who cares if it gets award or no after this year so called awards funcs.

I think its got to be some differences between balaji and awards.Otherwise I remember Udaan bagged many awards.They cannot ignore filmmaker like Vikramaditya Motwane.

But if that is the case, then films like Club 60, BA Pass, SDR would also have got nominations in Filmfare, Guild and other awards. Ranjhana has very few nominations in Guild awards. So difference are certainly there in selection of nominations in every award function and that is understandable cos each might have their own criterias, some take in mind BO performance too while nominating. Lootera however is missing constantly and that comes across as off.

I actually feel very bad,we have very few filmmakers in India who can create magic onscreen,Ignoring them is only going to discourage them.Movies like CE are already rewarded with BO collections,at least give some recognition to films those are worth it.I at least hope sonakshi gets best actress awards,not that deepika doesn't deserve it or something but sonakshi is more deserving.

The sound quality in this film was a total putoff.

Completely agree. I wouldn't mind if the nominations were of a popular choice award but these are jury based award functions.

And adding Shraddha Kapoor to the list of best actress jury in FF instead of Nimrat Kaur is saddening.
