Buchanan wants revenge for recent defeats to England |
Defeat for England would all but end their semi-final hopes following Wednesday's loss to Sri Lanka.
Buchanan said: "It's a very important game for us. Winning will enable us to knock another team out of the event.
"For England, every outing is a knockout game now and that places them on razor's edge."
Australia lost three times in a row to England earlier this year, including the two finals of the Commonwealth Bank Series.

And Buchanan admitted revenge was on Australia's mind as they look to continue their unbeaten run in World Cups to 26 matches.
"We're obviously trying to make amends for those defeats," said Buchanan.
"It will be an exceptional contest, we'll know where we stand at the end of the game on Sunday," said Buchanan, whose team is out to complete a hat-trick of World Cup titles after triumphs in 1999 and 2003.
Australia are at the top of the Super 8 standings with six points, equal with New Zealand and Sri Lanka, but ahead on run rate.
They could also leapfrog South Africa at the top of the ICC one-day rankings with a win over England.
England have just two points after beating Ireland by 48 runs in the Super 8s.

Australia are considering their options after all-rounder Shane Watson was ruled out of action for a couple of weeks with a calf strain.
Brad Hodge is the likely replacement, while Queensland all-rounder James Hopes has been put on stand-by in case Watson does not recover in time for the semi-finals.
Queensland all-rounder James Hopes is on stand-by and Australia may use all-rounder Andrew Symonds to bowl medium-pace.
Symonds has delivered off-spin in this World Cup after injuring a shoulder in the build-up.
"It's probably a bit early for him to do it at this stage," Buchanan said. "But Andrew is Andrew when he takes the field and his progress has been very good."

Vaughan hailed the display of Bopara, who took England so close |
Bopara shared an 87-run seventh-wicket stand with Paul Nixon to put England on the brink but they fell two runs short.
Vaughan said: "The dressing room, as you can imagine, is quiet but they should be proud of a superb effort.
"Ravi and 'Nicco' were brilliant and I thought we were going to do it, but it wasn't to be. We're gutted, but proud."
And the skipper reserved special praise for 21-year-old Essex all-rounder Bopara, who showed maturity beyond his years to take England so close.
"I think we might have found quite a player there," said Vaughan.

"We were outstanding in the field and I thought the bowlers did everything I could have asked for in restricting them to 235. It was a total we felt we could chase.
"Obviously, it wasn't the best start for us but at 100-2 we were cruising. Then we go and lose four quick wickets.
"However, for Ravi, at just 21, to keep his head so well in a cauldron of an atmosphere was unbelievable. Like I say, it's disappointing, but we must look to the positives."
Bopara himself downplayed his efforts, but insisted England could look to Sunday's Super 8 match against Australia with confidence.
"I'm not sure I deserved man-of-the-match - there were a few performances in our team," he said.
"The plan from me and Nicco was to knock it around and then see where we with five overs left and we came so close.
"It's just really disappointing. But, with the spirit we've shown today and with the fact that we've beaten Australia three times out of three recently, there's no need for us to fear them." đCOME ON ENGLAND!đ
