'Pavitra Rishta' to go off air soon!'

After a run of over four years on the small screen, 'Pavitra Rishta', which is dragging now, is likely to go off the air soon.

After a run of over four years on the small screen, 'Pavitra Rishta', which is dragging now, is likely to go off the air soon.

Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms produced the show and it will be replaced by another show by the same banner, said a source.

"Nothing has been decided yet but the show ('Pavitra Rishta') might go off air soon. Though nothing is fixed yet it might be replaced by another show by Ekta Kapoor," the source said.

'Pavitra Rishta' went on air in 2009 with Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput as the lead pair and it was well received by the viewers thanks to the content.

But since Sushant's exit from the show in 2011 to fulfill his big screen dreams, the viewership has plummeted. Even getting popular actor Hiten Tejwani on board did not help it much.

The show took many leaps but instead of creating curiosity it disappointed the audience and the viewership dipped.

its true after sushant quit PR lost its charm but still it is getting better TRP than some other show.if its end i wish ankita take rest then again come back in another nice show

Pavitra Rishta without any doubt is the most neglected of Ekta Kapoor shows! It's like she herself looses interest in a show after it's success and brings it's downfall! The CVs are churning out the same old stories when the story has some good potential.

Arvi's story could have ended with their Milan thus ending the torture for us and Ashvik. The unnecessary dragging was unwanted and she seems to pay no attention to it, then why bind the actors? They can move on to something better! ekta is using them and that's disappointing!

Naren Ankita story was fresh and brought some relief, but the undue attention to Sunanda and Ranauq just spoils the charm! They could have got decent TRPs if they had just stuck to the pavitra rishta between them!

Hell, even budget constrictions prove that Ekta isn't interested! They don't even give actors new clothes! Anyway my personal opinion is it's better this show ends than torture people and the fabulous set of actors it has!

There were rumors about PR going off air around December 2012, January 2013.There were also sporadic comments about the same or actors quitting ever since the recent leap..

ABOUT time it ends. 😆 I'm so glad my hardworking souls AshVik will finally get to explore bigger ventures. Yay. And with that professional and humble attitude of theirs, they are sure gonna go places..
