What is yajna?Is it a special kind of pooja or some other religious performance as it gave Draupad grown kids.

Draupad was a really negative person who wished ill for his daughter. Unbelieveable.

Hello Sarun dont believe this saas bahu serial. It's not Mahabharat but it is Starbharat the channel is showing their own version. The whole story is based on lies and twists. Do not believe this story. Yes Both Dhrishtdumn and Draupadi came out of the fire after the sounds of mantras and offerings to the god of fire. They both were adults. It is not true that he drupad was not happy or upset or angry or like they showed that he cursed his own daughter. Not at all. yes he was expecting a son but he also got a daughter too. But he was not too overwhelmed about it.

As for yagya, it is the worship of fire god the brahmin always do the worship for the king or anyone interested in yagya. The mantras are spoken and chanted and offereings such as jadi buti or herbs, rice or grains are offered to fire which feeds to the gods. These offereings are said to be food for the gods. When they satisfy their hunger then gods have to come and give the boon to the king or whoever does the yagya. Only husband cannot do this worship without his wife.

A worship can never be completed without a wife. Women always had great importance in Ancient civilization of Bharatvarsh.

Drupad was not as they r showing in Mahabharat. Drupad loved Draupadi very much. I read in a n article that when Draupadi was young, Drupad made her sit on his lap and told her stories... Drupad was not negative. They r showing him negative...

So basically the makers of this MB are focusing more on special effects,graphics and other technologies than on the story and facts.In the show there was no wife with Draupad at yajna.

The whole of Last week was about how they set fire to palace and how pandus escaped from the palace and when it comes to telling the facts about some person,incident they just rushed the story and left the viewers with questions and confusions.

What was the role of Dhirshtudumn? I didn't know that Draupadi had a brother also.

You are welcome dear. Yes it is a twisted version of Mahabharat don't believe in it. Follow Mahabharat of Ved Vyas ji or old Mahabharat which is very close to the actual Mahabharat. They have shown the heroes with so much of dignity and sanatan dharm's actual culture.
They are just showing main points of mahabhart and leaving a lot of logic and sense out of it. Like you said they are more interested in technology and model's ram walk and leaving out the script and performance of actors.

Yes Dhristdum was Draupadi's twin brother but both came out as adult from Yagya done by his father Drupad to take revenge from Dronacharya.

There is a story of past life of Draupadi but I am sure there must be one for Dristdum too. He must also be some devta. But I don't know about it.
