the plight of mughal descendents!

i just saw on youtube sultana begam, the great grand daughter of the last mughal emperor bahadur shah zafar who thrives on a pension of rupees 400 and lives in slums of calcutta😕..she was shown seeking forgiveness from god at the golden temple because of the torture that sikh gurus had to face during the mughal era!!

I've seen that video too...i felt bad for her...her ancestors lived in royal palaces and she's living slums with very little money

Quite sorry to see this, but still many descendents are amongst the higher strata of the society in India, esp. old Delhi area and in Pakistan. But, yes they NOW do not have the same grandeur.

And, not to forget the other glorious dynasties of the world. It happened with many. Time changes.!..

sad...i read a story in hindi ..he has a grand daughter n very poor living in rags ... a man used to see him outside mosque asking for penny everyday .. i forget inbtw sorry for that...then that man follows him to his plc ..he saw they r having meagre moongpali ...he got curious abt that beggar for some reason may be bcz of the dignity stil he holds..😕 The revelations came out that he was a mughal decendents of some emperor dont remeber his name...its a true story...read in my school hindii bk 😊

its true the royal ppl specially muslim royals life in India has become hell ...tippu sultan descendents who flew to hyderabad after tippus death live in slums of hyderabad and they do tailoring job for livelyhood and 600 Rs pension from Government ...
