Im commenting here for your other ff here I loved the scene were aadil asks Zoya directly if she could be him ammi and he could have a brother. And when aadil clung to Zoya seeing Imran Tat was a wow moment for me.
A/N: Hi guys! Here is the next one!
Request by love_kash
Prompt: "I love AsYa with kids. Something like Asad and Zoya go out with Mahek like to a mall or zoo or park and Mahek is lost."
Oh! FYI, the first person is NOT typical, meaning NOT Asad/Zoya! :)

I always told my frantic and always on-the-run children to sometimes just stop and smell the roses. Life was always running in such a hurry that we lose ourselves in it so much that something as simple as "Me-time" becomes a hard earned luxury. I tried to sometimes simply sit, watch and just look at my surroundings.
And that was just what I was doing at the mall. A mall often sounds an absurd place to sit peacefully, but I have always loved observing people in their elements. What better than a place where people come because they want to be there for some little happy spending?
So there I was, sitting by the fountain on the lower level of the mall. And that was when my eyes fell on a little girl, perhaps four or five years old, who was wandering from here to there, with her little thumb in her mouth and her eyes flitting across the faces of the people she passed. While she appeared to looking for someone and lost, but I noticed that she did not look scared at all.
The maternal feelings in me got the better of me and I found myself approaching the little girl. She looked up at me as I went near her.
I knelt in front of her, ignoring the popping sound in my knees - I wasn't that old, right? - And gave her a warm smile.
"Hello, darling. Are you lost? Where are you Mommy and Daddy?" I asked her in a gentle tone.
She looked at me with calculative eyes and I was surprised to find such resolute eyes for someone as young as her.
"I am not s'posed to talk to tangers." she told me, very firmly.
I was brought back to the time long ago when my kids were that little. I was getting old! Sigh! I promised myself that I will never push my kids for grandchildren. But kids are so adorable!
I smiled to myself at the adorable girl, "Well then, little Miss, I am Suhana. Can you tell me your name? I can help find your parents for you."
She looked at me very intently and then surprised me with what she said next, "You do not look like a meanie, Ms. Suhana. I am Mahek! Abbu told me to give this to a nice person if I can't find them anywhere!" she held out a little band at me that she was wearing around her wrist.
I took the bracelet/band from her and looked at what was written on it.
Contact - Asad Khan or Zoya Khan
98231***** or 97872*****
I presumed that they were her parents. I whipped out my phone and punched the first number. It rang only for a moment before a frantic male voice picked up the phone.
"Hello?"!
"Um, Asad Khan?" I asked.
"Yes!?"
"I have a little girl, Mahek, with me. I take it that I am talking to her father?" I inquired.
"Ya Allah! Yes! Where is she? Is she alright?" he yelled into the phone and then I heard him calling to a distant person, "ZOYA! Someone found her!"
"Mr. Khan?" I got his attention back, "She is fine and sitting next to me. I am by the fountain in the lower level of the mall. Um, you are by the mall, right?" I added, wondered if the babe had come far from where her parents were.
"Yes, yes! We are here. We will be there in a few. Thank you so much!" I could hear him running as we spoke.
I ended the call and then turned to the girl next to me.
"Your father seems very scared."
She moped and said, "I am gonna be in trwoble?"
I smiled at her cuteness, "I am sure that you will be fine. Your Mom-Dad may be angry at you a little, but they'll be more relieved to have found you again!"
"MAHEK!"
I turned around to see a man and a women rushing to where we were. I watched as the man came to a skidding stop and gathered Mahek in his arms. He picked her up and hugged her close to him. I could hear the audible sigh of relief that left his body and he rocked them both.
Then, the lady with him grabbed her out of his arms and peppered her little face with kisses.
"Mahek!" the man scolded her in a firm voice, "I told you to not let go of our hands and not wander off anywhere!"
The little girl looked at her parents and pouted and gave him her explanation, "I am sowwy, Abbu! But I saw pwincesses in the shop and a puppy!" she said in a tone that said that her reasoning made all the sense in the world and then she raised her arms to him, wanting to held by him again.
The man took her in his arms, shook his head at her and softly reprimanded her again. I couldn't help but let out a little chuckle at the family. She had her father wrapped around her little finger. Such a daddy's girl!
The woman turned her head to me and to my surprise, hugged me.
"Thank you so much! I can't thank you enough for calling us and informing us and staying with our daughter." I saw tears of gratitude in her eyes.
I patted her hand and smiled at her, "Its fine really! I had no problem."
She beamed at me and I smiled again at the young look that over took her previously worried face, "I am Zoya Khan and this is my husband, Asad. And you already know our little wandering tyke, Mahek." Zoya finally did the introductions.
"I am Suhana Kapur." I said.
I noticed that Mahek, who was in her father's arms, was telling him about what she did for the fifteen minutes that she had been lost.
"You were not scared, baby girl?" Zoya asked her. She gave me a look and I understood that she wanted to make sure that there were no lingering effects or any traumatic experience.
I was interested in the answer as well. She had not looked scared. I wondered if that was how she had felt as well.
Mahek shook her head at her mother, "Nuh-uh, Ammi! I knew you will find me! Just like Nemo!" she explained her and I was reminded of the trust children have on their families. The vicious world sure turns humans wary and guarded.
It was truly a magnificent sight to witness such pure faith and love. It is a rarity!
Asad and Zoya thanked me once again and then their little family was off doing what they were there for. And this time, little Mahek was firmly between her parents, both her parents holding one of her hands on her sides as she skipped merrily. Protected.
I smiled as I made my way out of the mall to the sun and breeze. Such a nice day. Stop and smell the roses.
