I support his rude and arrogant nature as i see him as someone who has struggled in his life when family was going down the hill, sadly makers never showed us why he is rude to family, now and then they show him making passing comments at his brother , which sort of hint us, when one takes family ship on their shoulders they change, they either become ruthless or become soft. a guy like sam was never shown and so was his past , we had shows where they showed a guy struggle and his soft side, apart ishan saying sam is different now , we donno a single thing.

his father and mother never openly scolded him or said anything why? DONNO, what went wrong no idea...

he should be soft towards urmi, but isnt it too much to expect seeing how he is with everyone? he seems to be someone who lost touch with relations and urmi in a day or his marriage with her wont change him out of no where

Somehow I can't imagine he would have struggled in past because if had so would have the rest of the family. His control over handling the company may be good but it comes with an ugly baggage of a big fat ego, This was proven when he told Trisha that he is stronger than god and even god cannot stop him from marrying Urmi. From what we know of the elder brother, this man's love for his wife and how he takes care of her proves that there is no way he would have hurt Sam Rat to deserve the insults. The man's bhabhi needs a salute for tolerating her younger devar insulting her loving husband in front of her. I would not blame her if she put some poison in his food. No matter what they show in the Rat's past, there is absolutely no justification for his behaviour, The only justification I see is that he got this from his evil mother either by genes or upbringing

Samrat's mother is a big reason for the way he is. She is constantly making excuses for him and I'm sure she did the same while raising him. His own mother doesn't respect women! How is he supposed to? Sometimes, it's not what he says, it's his method of expressing himself that comes across rude and cold. Also, he's socially clueless as to what is appropriate or inappropriate.

He's on an ego trip. I hope he loses his beloved business lol that'll teach him. Hopefully a woman puts him out of business.

Also, Urmi should spread that Samrat is a small guy if you know what i mean😉. Hahaha its never going to happen but that's what he truly deserves!

What I don't understand is, are the CVs trying to show Samrat as a -ve character...or one with grey shades? Seems to me as though the writers are confused.

Anyways, I won't justify his behaviour. Being straight forward is one thing and being rude is another. Samrat can be bitter with his words and he knows it - he doesn't care. But at the end of the day, I don't think he actually hid himself from Urmi. She saw the signs (as someone rightly mentioned) and yet was too loved up and turned a blind eye. Had she shown sense and good judgement, things would've been different.

On a different note, Mohit is playing the character very well. His expressions are perfect.
