Since most of us are excited for entry of Draupadi, one of the most important character of this epi. She represented Shakti, so I've found some interesting stories about her, sharing them here.

http://experiencehinduism.com/interesting-stories/draupadi-weds-pandavas

In the epic Mahabharata, Draupadi is known as the "emerged" daughter of King Drupada of Panchala and the wife of the five Pandavas. What is the reason that she got five husbands?

Draupadi was also avatar of Goddess Shree or Wealth who was joint wife to five Indras, the Five Pandavas. She was to be born several times for imprisoning the Indras.
1) First time was as Vedavati who cursed Ravana (who is another goddess Avatar Swaha, wife to Agni).
2) She then came again as Maya-Sita especially to take revenge from Ravana while Agni hid the real Sita.
3) Third one was partial either Damyanti (whose husband Nala was equivalent to Dharma, Vayu, Indra just like the Pandavas) and her daughter Nalayani.
4) Fourth one was when she married Sage Moudgalya.
5) The fifth avatar was Draupadi herself. So we find in Draupadi, a composite avatar of Kali, Parvati, Sachi, Shyamala, Usha, Bharati, Shree, Swaha, the eight goddesses.

Reason of Draupadi's Marriage to Five Men

In her fourth Avatar, Draupadi was the wife of Saint Moudgalya and her name was Indrasena. Due to Leprosy her husband died early and in order to satisfy her desires she prayed the Lord Shiva with great devotion. Lord Shiva appeared before her and asked her what she wants. On seeing Lord Siva, she was astonished. In that confused mood, she repeatedly asked five times "I want a husband. I want a husband". "You are blessed with five husbands but only in the next birth" said Lord Shiva. In her next birth she got married to five Pandavas.

Reason for having five husbands:
As per Narada and Vayu Puranas, Draupadi was composite Avatar of Goddesses Shyamala (wife of Dharma), Bharati (Wife of Vayu), Sachi (wife of Indra), Usha (wife of Ashwinis) and hence married their earthly counterparts in the form of the five Pandavas. Enraged at a jest by Parvati and the four goddesses, Brahma cursed them to human birth. Parvati thought of the solution wherein they will be born as one woman, Draupadi and hence share the earthly body for a smaller period of time. Draupadi's characteristic fight against injustice reflects Parvati or her Shakti, Kali inhabiting Draupadi's mortal flesh at times. At other times, Draupadi was docile and even waited to be rescued (as in case of Jayadratha and Jatasura) showing the qualities of other goddesses like Sachi and Usha. Other times, she showed astuteness in hiding their true identity and asking Vayu putra Bhima to kill the evil Keechaka like Goddess Bharati would.

Draupadi was also avatar of Goddess Shree or Wealth who was joint wife to five Indras, aka Five Pandavas. She was to be born several times for imprisoning the Indras. First time was as Vedavati who cursed Ravana (who is another goddess Avatar Swaha, wife to Agni). She then came again as Maya-Sita especially to take revenge from Ravana while Agni hid the real Sita. Third one was partial either Damyanti (whose husband Nala was equivalent to Dharma, Vayu, Indra just like the Pandavas) and her daughter Nalayani. She married Sage Mudgala. The fifth avatar was Draupadi herself. So we find in Draupadi, a composite avatar of Kali, Parvati, Sachi, Shyamala, Usha, Bharati, Shree, Swaha, the eight goddesses.

Here's a story about Draupadi and Bheem I heard a long time ago.  At the time of her marriage to the five Pandavas, she had declared that she would spend one year with each of the brothers and during that year, no other brother would enter the chambers that she and her husband-of-the-year shared.

During one of the years that Draupadi was with Yudhishtir, Bheem took a wrong turn in the palace and entered their chamber.  There he saw Yudhishtir kneeling on the floor, washing Draupadi's feet and worshipping her.  This scene disturbed Bheem who thought that his brother had become a slave to Draupadi, something he thought was unbecoming of a kshatriya.  Bheem did not know then that Draupadi was an avatar of Goddess Durga and Yudhishtir - who was well aware of the impending deaths in the yet-undeclared Kurukshetra war - was appeasing the Goddess of death and destruction.

Lost in thought Bheem wandered about the palace till he came across Krishna.  He described what he had seen to Krishna and announced that he would confront Draupadi and ask her to explain why she had degraded his brother's kshatriya status.  Krishna became serious and asked Bheem not to say anything to Draupadi.  Instead, he took Bheem to the very middle of the nearby forest.  He asked Bheem to climb to the top of the tallest tree and stay there till the next morning.  Krishna warned Bheem to remain extremely silent and ensure that no one noticed he was there.

Bheem was confused but he stayed there on Krishna's instructions.  Bheem stayed in the tree all day without food and water.  Bheem was getting hungry and thought that this must have been Krishna's idea of a joke.   The moon was high in the sky and Bheem thought he should go back to the palace for his meal.  He looked down to start his descent but what he saw amazed him.  Down below on the forest floor, thrones had been laid out like it was the court of the Gods.  One by one, he saw the Devas arrive and take their seats in the court.  Finally he noticed that two large thrones had been set down just below his tree.  These seemed like the thrones for the persons presiding the court.  Curious, Bheem decided to stay in his position at the top of the tree and witness the court of heaven.

Suddenly, all the murmuring of the Devas below stopped and all that he could hear was Krishna begging for forgiveness.  What Bheem saw next sent a jolt through him.  Had he not been afraid of being noticed, his teeth would have surely chattered in fear.  There below him, Draupadi rose from the throne next to Krishna's.  But this was a Draupadi Bheem had never seen before.  Her hair was loose, there was a fire in her eyes and rage had taken over her person.  There she was, in her true avatar of Goddess Durga with a ghada' (loosely translated as a bowl) in her hands looking at Krishna.  In a voice that echoed throughout the forest, she asked "Why is my cup empty?  It should be filled with the blood of Bheem who broke his vow."

Bheem didn't hear anything that followed because he had fainted with fear.  The next morning he woke up in the tree and slowly climbed down and went back to the palace.  The scene he had witnessed had disturbed him so much that he ate less than half the breakfast that Kunti had sent for him.  Kunti was worried because Bheem had never returned food on his plate before.  She went to him and asked him if he was alright.  Bheem was worried and told her what he had seen and heard the night before.  Kunti understood the gravity of what Bheem had witnessed and decided that she would do something to save him.

Later that day Kunti sent for Draupadi.  Draupadi went to her mother-in-law's chambers and touched her feet.  Before blessing her, Kunti asked Draupadi to promise that she would spare Bheem's life in the war.  Draupadi looked up and understood what must have happened.  Draupadi knew that in this human avatar she had to obey the instructions of her mother-in-law.  She bit her lip and nodded her assent.  Blood trickled down her bitten lip and worried, Kunti tore the edge of her clothes and wiped off the blood.  Kunti then told her that her cup would not remain empty and Bheem would fill it for her.

Unknowingly Kunti had made the Kurukshetra war even more certain.  Draupadi's act of biting her lip had made Kunti tear a part of her clothes.  This would be repeated for Draupadi when Duhshaasan would try and disrobe her in front of the entire Kuru courtroom.  Bheem would then vow to avenge her humiliation with the blood of Duhshaasan's chest, thus filling her empty cup with blood.

Thanks for the story...
I had started a topic for Draupadi long time back, since you are a mod, you figure what to merge and what not...:)

The two most important men in her life were Arjun and Shri Krishna, her relationship with Shri Krishna shows that despite being a man and woman they were very good friends, not related but she needed someone the most, he came to her help!

In my opinion and what I have heard and agree with is that the Mahabharat war happened mostly because of her upmaan, because when society can not respect a woman, that society needs cleansing, even if it means destruction of that society and making a new society.

As per The Garuda Purana Draupadi is the incarnation of Bharati-Devi, The Consort of Lord Vayu.
Enraged at a jest by Parvati, Shyamala, Sachi and Usha, Brahma cursed them to human birth.
Parvati thought of the solution wherein they will be born as one woman, Draupadi and hence share the earthly body for a smaller period of time.
They requested Bharati to be with them in their human birth.

When her husbands retired from the world and went on their journey towards the Himalayas and Indra's heaven, she accompanied them, and was the first to fall on the journey. When Bhim asked Yudhisthir, "This princess never did any sinful act. Then why is she fallen on Earth?" Yudhisthir replied, "Though we were all equal unto her, she had great partiality for Vijayan(Arjuna). She obtains the fruit of that conduct today."

"Beholding his brothers fallen on the Earth, king Yudhishthira the just said unto that deity of a 1,000 eyes these words: My brothers have all dropped down here. They must go with me. Without them by me I do not wish to go to Heaven, O lord of all the deities. The delicate princess (Draupadi) deserving of every comfort, O Purandara, should go with us. It behoveth thee to permit this."

"He also beheld the princess of Panchala, decked in garlands of lotuses. Having attained to Heaven, she was sitting there, endued with a form possessed of solar splendour. King Yudhishthira suddenly wished to question her. Then the illustrious Indra, the chief of the gods, spoke to him, This one is Sree herself. It was for your sake that she took birth, as the daughter of Drupada, among human beings, issuing not from any mother's womb, O Yudhishthira, endued with agreeable perfume and capable of delighting the whole world. For your pleasure, she was created by the wielder of the trident. She was born in the race of Drupada and was enjoyed by you all."

The link is the source for the cup story. But I had read a simillar story in a book having all the stories related to Bheem in MB. Him killing Jarasandh, marrying Hidimba, Ghatotkach etc.( Had read this during school days & lost the book during vacation, so couldn't give you the auther's name now.)
That story was- Once Bheem doubted Draupadi. He asked Krishna about this. Krishna asked Bheem to accompany him that night. Both after walking for a long time, reached deserted place. Krishna told him we'll be hiding behind a wall & not to come out under any circumstances & just watch whatever happens quietly.
After some time, Draupadi came there, her hair were open. She collected wood sticks & lighted a fire, entered inside the fire. Asked loudly, is there anyone present here? Ask whatever you want, I'll grant your wish. Krishna signaled Bheem, he remained hiding only, spoke loudly, 5 Pandavas & mata Kunti should be excluded from you Khappar (bowl). She agreed. Then she came out of the fire & went back.
Krishna explained to Bheem, Draupadi is a Shakti, born to reduce burden of Earth. After spending her time with one of the Pandava bro, she always does Agni-snan before going to the next bro.
