Is Ishana wrong?
No, she is not wrong. Nikhil and his family is provoking and misguiding her. She loves Nikhil. It was her love story where Lajjo is an intruder and forcing her to go out. She knows what Nikhil has for her is true love. What he has for Lajjo is sympathy and pity. Lajjo is nothing in his life. A maid can clean his room, stitch his buttons and take care of him when he is sick. But love is more than that. Which they had before Lajjo's entry. Then Why 'paana hai tujhe haar haal mein ' for Ishana?If she was that she would murder Lajjo the first day she entered the house. But she is still much good to her. If she is misguided, then it is by Nikhil. He is hanging a mooli infront of her, that he loves her , not Lajjo. If the motto of the writer is to show Ishana wrong then they have to write the story again. Or else I am not finding any reason to call Ishana or her love selfish. May be she is stupid, who is not finding out that Nikhil is playing games with both the girls.
Why Lajjo is saying, "Mera hai slefless payar. I just want to see him happy."
Is Lajjo doing anything to make him happy? Taking care of his home , family when she knows he doesn't accept her as a wife is forcing him. Don't Lajjo has a "Swarth" for doing all these too? Where will she go if Nikhil gets angry and leave her? She is not educated. She can't go back to Swarnbarsa, because her parents will be humiliated in front of society. Either Nikhil behaves good to her or bad, she has to stay with him. In fact her dialogue should be, "Rahena hai moojhe tere saath haar haal mein." Whether his entire family kicks her every day. Her love is not selfless. It is the selfish love. But I can't call it love too. If she was married to any other Raam , Shyam or Gopal;she would take care of them just the way she is doing to Nikhil. Because that guy would be her husband. May be she respects him, because he rescues her whenever she is in trouble. But is he really?But it is not same for Ishana. She loves only Nikhil. It is visible that, the other friend loves her. If Ishana was wrong, she would use him and Nikhil both. Just like Nikhil can't give up any of the girls.
Nikhil by the way is the Nikamma, Irresponsible son of the family. Naa toh wo accha pati baan paya, naa beta, naa premi. He has no job. Still he married Lajjo to show her and his Dadajee how great he is. Is only "Saat phere " enough in shaadi? What is the meaning of those saat bachan , if he doesn't keep any? He doesn't feed Lajjo. Bekar admi. Ghar mein Biwi aa gaya , but he does nothing at home. Means he himself is a liability of the parents. In this case Braka is not wrong. If I was the mother I'd do the same. Why they will take care of Lajjo?
The problem is with Nikhil. He can't leave Lajjo because he wants to show her how great he is. Which he is not. He can't leave Ishana because he want to show how great lover he is. But the fact is , he is cheating with both his wife and GF at the same time. If he can't take his wife's responsibly and give her all the rights she deserves, then why did he marry her? Who is more wrong? The groom for Lajjo who demanded Dowry from her? Or Nikhil who wants freedom from her after marriage? To me he is more criminal than that groom.
As a lover he is a man who deserves hundred kicks on his butt. Majak baana ke raakh dia love ko.Or he is in confusion? Which girl will be best for him? The modern girl or the gawar? Then he deserves no love or respect from any of the girls. Love isn't a thing to get profited. Love is the feeling we have for someone special to heart. Jaroori nehi hai that the person should be perfect.
In this position I find the promo simply faltu. Neither Ishana is doing anything selfish.Nor Lajjo's love is selfless. If they want to make that , then they need to change the whole story. Give Lajjo and Ishana some self respect. Both leave Nikhil at once. He should be kicked out of home too, for not taking any responsibility and creating trouble in the family.Then let's see what happens.
