Yes, the makers and writers made the decision for the consummation. Really, they deserve some praise since we are in on dated with ridiculous scenarios for delaying consummation, or having a non consummated marriage--and then they show some crazy OTT Con a year or two years after the marriage.
But here the makers wrote it so that it was consummated on marriage night.
Unless, they somehow decide to backtrack, which I think perhaps there is some room for it
But until / unless they backtrack, kudos.to them.
