I WILL BE THERE FOR YOU……..
Ashi saw a little girl, howling and crying, she went up to her and asked, "hey sweety, kya hua? Why are you wasting your precious little tears? Kissi nerd ne tumhari chocolate le li kya? Hey bhagguu!! stupid girl ager aisa hai to yahaan rone se kya hoga.. GO BOX HIS NOSE OUT!" The girl wiped away her tears with her tiny hands and replied, "no its not that, my best friend is going to London forever...leaving me behind...I promised to give him all my chocolates...but he won't stay." She sobbed and went away leaving ashi with a confused look. She chuckled, "best friend…but what does these words actually mean??"
In answer some vivid images zoomed in front of her eyes, but she couldn't really make out their faces as her view was blocked by the moistness of her unknown tears. She thought that she saw a tall, sturdy woman with a sporty built and long hair. She saw herself crossing a corridor which she had left years ago and out of the blue this female comes out and swirls her off the floor singing merrily… She heard MP voice screaming, "HEY Ashi… my friend is Back!" She heard her own voice excitedly shouting and shrieking, "MP! missed you soo much, was thinking of our next prank and our next bakra…umm but I didn't found anyone who could match THE YUCKRAJ DEV" and they both giggled.
She felt a tear drop over her palm and she saw that face in it which she hadn't seen since the past 8 years. She smiled and remembered all those shouts and arguments they had shared. She knew this female had shunned her millions of times showing her all her fakeness and always making her emerge as a real person. She knew daat this female had cared enough to have always disagreed with her when she was wrong…she felt a sudden hiccup and somehow she knew that she was being remembered by this very female.
Another image that blurred in front of her was that of a sweet, sincere woman who was so small that to ashi she had always been a hand rest…..ashi had never taken her talks seriously and she always felt that she took her life too boringly like a duh-uh MATE and she hated it that she liked everyone, even the TIMBO and her ANGELS….coz to her each individual was unique and beautiful. Yet today ashi felt blessed of having had the privilege of holding her close when she was in tears and in turn being bestowed by her warmth which made all problems melt like a snowball. She was the one person who had laughed harder than her in her merry times and cried till she broke when grief fell upon ashi.
Then her thoughts shifted to a tall, dark and ultra handsome dude who had all the brains in the world but still was a dodo to have fallen in love with THE TIMBO AHUJA and she was actually a bigger dodo coz she had prayed to her bhaggu that they lived happily ever and ever…Ya, he was her Thakur, who needed no words of love and appreciation from her. It did not matter to him that she spend time with him or even cared to notice he was alive, but still when the pendulum oscillated hauntingly announcing the arrival of dark hours of misery, she noticed him standing right below the clock and ready to fight with time for her.
She saw the tiny girl buying a farewell card and a tennis racket with a ball which reminded her of the candles and the bracelets that had borne the vows of a tale of life long friendship between these three people. She saw the tennis ball and was thrown back into that one moment where she knew that friends needed no X rays to see through each others souls. She saw the girl's tears and realized that friendship was as pure as a child's tears. It saw no age, no gender, no religion, no power. All it saw was a chocolate ready to be snatched and gobbled.
She went to the girl and held her close and said, "if your friend is really yours then the distance would not matter, every time you eat a chocolate you would feel him ready to barge in you and snatch it away…so don't forget to remember him and buy him one chocolate whenever you have one." She gave the little girl two dairy milks and walked away leaving the girl smiling…
