I watched the first episode with more excitement than I've felt in months. It had been over a year since I'd kept refreshing desi-tashan in hopes of finally finding an update.
Those stunning promos, the performances, the expectations. They had been building up exponentially, and finally on December 30th, they were to take center stage and stun... or fizzle.
And Rang Rasiya did not disappoint.
I've been a silent follower of the discussion in the forum, but wanted to post for Rang Rasiya today. I believe in late rather than never, especially for a show of such caliber.
Sanaya Irani, is stunning. And she's one of the, if not the greatest Indian television actresses in our time today. And this show, is worth her talent.
I will be honest. The opening of the show with the gunning down shook me. I didn't know whether or not this show would appeal to the lovey dovey, rom-com, flowery viewer I tend to be.
But then they exchanged the doll. And everything instantly fit together. The innocence. Children stuck in a destructive world. It was portrayed so stunningly against the atrocities of the evil they had been enveloped within. It was the first thing that caught me... and perhaps the one thing that will stick with me throughout the show. From that point on, I've been hooked within the deserts of Rajasthan. Refreshing desi-tashan every chance I get.
The cinematography of this show is brilliant. Never before have I seen such thematic and eloquent cinematic portrayals for an Indian serial... at least in the seven or eight years I've been a viewer.
The acting is absolutely wonderful. Sanaya, as usual, is unparalleled and even Ashish has not failed to resonate and impress. The chemistry is undoubtedly present. And the story line is unique and capturing.
Sanaya has chosen very well. I am excited to see how the story of Rang Rasiya develops and how Paro and Rudra evolve as episodes are released.
Wishing the team the best and unprecedented success... and this forum with more and more good news. 😊
