Here she was, standing in front of his door at 1 in the morning, waiting for him to open and wrap his arms around her. Only half an hour earlier she had been sitting in a michellin star restaurant, listening to Vishaal telling her how she had changed, how she no longer was the Sakshi he once knew and fell in love with. She didn't talk the way she used to, didn't laugh, her dressing sence wasn't good enough.
She was changing and he didn't like it, so him being the "gentleman" he was took her out on a date to dump her.
The day when she had thought of taking the relationship to the next step had turned into a day when he told her that she had singlehandedly destroyed the love he felt for her and that he had found someone else.
Slowly but surely he had put all blame on her, every single thing was now all of a sudden her fault, she had changed and the biggest fault, according to whatshisface was Arjun. She spent to much time with him, there were times she made Arjun food, she stayed late at work, she worked during lunch, she even worked on weekends. And she hadn't put out even after 2 months of dating.
Sakshi didn't think she had changed that much, she was still the same. She had thought long and hard, but still she couldn't find any change in herself. After the fiasco with Vishaal she had come straight to Arjuns place.

So here she was, standing in front of his big Oak door, hoping for some sort of closeness, warmth.
As the door opened she found herself staring into a pair of dark, surprised eyes. And then she heard his voice, the same voice which always engulfed her whole being. "Sakshi, tum yahan, iss waqt?" He asked her surprised.
Sakshi gave a half smile, "I just needed some TLC, know where I can get that?" She asked him, finding herself faltering as the words left her mouth, breaking down right in front of him.
Arjun knew there was something wrong, but he hadn't expected ms Smile-a-lot to break down in seconds. Without asking any questions he quickly took her inside the privacy of his house.
As he sat her down he was hoping for some sort of explanation.
"He...He dumped me, aurr usne kaha ke saari ghalti meri hai that he doesn't love me anymore." she said hiccupping as the tears still fell down her face.
"I'm soo sorry,"Arjun lied believably. The truth was he had been waiting for the break up since the day he found out they were dating.
"I'm not, I'm mad that he blamed me."
Before Arjun could say anything she took off to tell him about how he had first blamed her work and lifestly and then later on went on to state that she had changed.
"Uhm, tum badal gayi ho Sakshi," Arjun stated, but before he could anything else, tell her of the postivity of the change Sakshi had already taken it the wrong way. He wanted to tell her that she wasn't looking like Sakshi anymore, she looked like Vishaal's girlfriend. Somewhere along the line she had stopped being her cheery self.
If there was one way how he wanted to see her, it would be the way she wanted to see herself, not how some loser dictated her to be.
"I'm fed up with people telling me what I've become, what I'm doing wrong and what I should be doing. I've heard that my whole life, maine socha tha ke sirf woh hi aise keh raha hai, mujhe nahi lagga ke tum bhi yahi sochte ho Arjun." She said while she stood up and started to move away from him. "Maine socha ke tum mujhe jaisi main hoon, waise hi apnaoge."
"Main woh hi kehna chah raha hoon, because this, this isn't you. This dress, the heavy make-up, it's not Sakshi."
Shaking her head sakshi said "You know what, you are right, yeh main nahi hoon. I've lost myself"
Saying this she walked up the staircase. Arjun didn't do anything but follow her up the stairs, he knew that questioning her actions would be futile as she would only confuse him more. Yet as he watched her he became even more confused.
"Sakshi, what are you doing?" He asked her as she opened the taps in his bathroom.
"Letting you see me, the real me." She said.
He watched as she took a step into the tub and slowly submerged herself in the water, fully dressed. He watched her dress float as she slowly dunked her face in the surface.
When she came back up for air her hair was soaking, water was running down her face, making the already smudged make-up look even worse.
"This is me, me on the inside," she said. "Sakshi Anand, a wreck! Unwanted, unattractive." She told him, then she tried to remove the tears that came running out of her eyes.
Without faltering Arjun also entered the shower, making sure to stand right in front of her. Bringing his hands to her cheeks he said: "Hey, miss Publicist, there is nothing unwanted, unattractive about you. You are crazy to think that you are a wreck. You don't need make up, the colours, you're beautiful on the inside, and that is visible on the outside. Your inner beauty enhances your outer elegance. Tumhe pattaa hai ke main kabhi jhoot nahi bolta, aur tumse to bilkul nahi."
"I don't know ke tum kya chahte ho. I am not beautiful Arjun," she said.
"Yes you are, agar tumhe yakeen nahi ho raha toh shayad mujhe practical example dena padega."
Before she could question him more he kissed her. The goosebumps she had from the freezing cold water turned into goosebumps which were created by the electricity she felt, the passion that was flowing between them. She went from extremely cold to scalding hot in less than a second.
As Arjun pulled away slowly he knew that she had felt the same way he did. Her response to him was enough for him to smile happily.
"Arjun, main..."
"Shhh, mujhe bhi bolne ka mauka do. Sakshi main chahe pyaar ke baare mein zyada kuchh nahi jaanta, lekin mujhe itna pataa hai ke main tumhe chahta hoon, pehle bhi chahta tha aur humesha chahta rahoonga. I love you."
"Mere paas tumhe dene ko kuchh nahi hai, the only thing I can give is this, me, the real me, without any masks or any hoo-haa's."
"That's good, I like this part of you, but I also want to say that the Sakshi who wears a dozen of bangles, a bright red dupatta to add a dash of colour to her outfit is you as well."
Sakshi was shocked, she couldn't deny it, that was another part of her, the real her.
But when she thought deeper about it, Sakshi was her trueself only when Arjun Rawte was with her.
