Now a documentary on Kolkata Knight Riders
Kolkata Knight Riders
Shah Rukh Khan is again all set to prove why he is called the badshah of entertainment.

That he owns an IPL Team and has left no stone unturned to make it a force to reckon with is well documented. But, now what he has got up his sleeves is more interesting. He has got a documentary made on the chequered journey of the team that went over like a lead balloon and rose like a phoenix from its ashes.

A source told TOI, "Right from the beginning, a team of cameramen has been recording all the behind-the-scene moments of the players. They have followed the team through practice sessions, their intercity trips, official meets and so on. All of these will be put together and made into a documentary."

The SRK-owned Red Chillies Entertainment bought the team along with Mehta Group, a company owned by Juhi Chawla's husband Jai Mehta, in 2008 for a whopping $75.09 million. Although SRK ensured the team has the coolest anthem and the hottest cheerleaders (officially and otherwise), the team failed to impress with its performance. It was three seasons and quite a few controversies later that KKR managed to put back some cricket in cricket and when they did, they were unstoppable. They won the 2012 tournament, beating defending champions Chennai Super Kings by 5 wickets at their home ground in Chennai. This not only put people's faith back in the team but also catapulted the brand value of the franchise.

The source added, "There have been a lot of team meetings on the content of the documentary. SRK will do the voiceover. He will talk about the journey, his love for Kolkata, equation withSourav Ganguly, the first captain of the team, as well as with other players, and last but not the least, how the team emerged a winner after a shaky start and so on."

The documentary is ready and Venky Mysore, CEO and MD of KKR confirmed the development and elaborated: "It started with an informal conversation with SRK after we won the championship in 2012 and did the victory parade in Kolkata. He was reminiscing about the journey since 2008. This triggered the idea of making a documentary on it. It was a very emotional and a fantastic experience putting the documentary together. We hope to soon share more details on how this content will be disseminated across multimedia and different geographies."

According to sources, a grand television premiere is in the offing. Brace yourself for a Fire in Babylon"Bollywood style.

Really!! I'm kinda shocked. Because IPL means finances, and in that thing, it's a champion(always makes large profit, even when other make big loss) and even in game, it's won one time.
