Chapter 21

There were pictures everywhere. But I didn't recognize most of them. Some of them were of the flashbacks that I had gotten but the other ones I didn't recognize. There were many pictures of me with a little boy but I couldn't tell who he was. There were some pictures of me with Raghu and what seemed like a younger version of Rukhsana aunty and Machmach uncle. "Raghu, yeh sab kya hain?" I asked. I was so confused. I had no idea what was going on. "Tu jaana chati thi na, ki tujhe voh sab yaadein kyun aa rahi thi?" he asked. "Haan, par yeh sab?" I asked. "Miss Kaul yeh humari yaadein hain," he said. "Kaunsi yaadein?" I asked. I was really confused.

"Antara, tume shayad meri baton pe yakeen na ho, par please ek baar meri baat suno," I said. She nodded her head. I told her everything. How she was a singer in Kashmir and how her dad had died and then she came to Mumbai and how we first met. I told her every single thing that happened. That we loved each other. When I reached the part about me being her father's killer, her eyes widened even more. I told her how she had gotten married to Satya and then how we had run away and committed suicide. I could tell that she was shocked. "Miss. Kaul, main jaanta hoon ki yeh sab ek dum jaana bahut zayaada hain. Par main tujhse ek aur baat khena chata hoon. Main... woh... I...I love you," I said. I said it. I looked at her face to see her reaction.

He told me everything. So we were reincarnated? Did that kind of stuff really happen? And we loved each other? No wonder everything seemed so familiar. Slowly, everything started to make sense. After he told me all of that he said "Miss. Kaul, main jaanta hoon ki yeh sab ek dum jaana bahut zayaada hain. Par main tujhse ek aur baat khena chata hoon. Main... woh... I...I love you." Wait... what did he just say? He loved me? I lost myself in his eyes and forgot everything he told me before. I shied away and hugged him and felt his arms around me. I felt safe in his arms. "Raghu," I said. "Haan," he replied. "Iss baar hum dono ek saath honge na?" I asked. "Haan, main tume kabhie khud se door nahi jaane doonga," he said.

She looked up at me with those beautiful eyes. She accepted me and had accepted our past. There was nothing that we could do to change it. All we could do was make sure that from now on, we would never let anything come between us. "Bhai! Antara!" Riya said. We broke our hug and looked towards the door. I had forgotten to close it and saw Riya there. "Toh finally Bhai, aap ne apne pyaar ka izhaar kar hi diya," she said. I looked at Antara and saw her blushing. "Riya, tujhe kya chaiye?" I asked. "Woh, Chachu aur Chachi ko airport chodne nahi jaana? Unhe apne honeymoon pe jaana hain," she said. "Arre haan, main bhul gaya tha. Antara, tum mere saath chalogi?" I asked. "Haan," she said. We left the room and headed out towards the car, where chachu and chachi were waiting. "Chale?" I asked. "Haan, chalo," Chachu said and we all got into the car.

We got back into the car after dropping Payal Di and Ishaan ji off at the airport. Everything seened different. I was with the guy that I loved. I was with Raghu. We were driving in quietly in the car when all of a sudden, Raghu stopped the car. "Kya hua?" I asked. "Ek minute, main abhi aata hoon," he said and got out of the car. I waited until he came back. He sat in the car and handed me a small box of ice cream. "Woh, teri kal ki ice cream re gayi thi," he said. I took the box and said "Raghu, tum bhi na." I saw that he had another thing in his hand. "Raghu, woh kya hain?" I asked. He brought his hand out in front of me and I saw that there was a bouquet of roses in his hand. Roses were my favourite flower. "Yeh tere liye," he said. I took the flowers from him and said "Thank you." "Waise tune abhi tak kaha nahi," he said. "Kya nahi kaha?" I asked. "Wahi, jo main tumse sunna chata hoon," he said. I could feel my face turning red and looked at the window. "Ab bol bhi de na. Maine bhi toh kaha tha na," he said. "Raghu, I... I ... I love you," I said. I slowly looked up at him and saw that he had a smile on his face. I smiled back at him and felt myself falling in love with him once again.
