Sonam-Dhanush in demand

We hear that the Raanjhanaa couple Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor has been getting a lot of invites for New Year events in Varanasi.

The onscreen pair, who shot major portions of the film in Varanasi, has developed a very strong fan base in that belt. So much so, that they are the first choice for events happening there during New Year's.
A source close to Sonam says, "Besides being New Year, January 1 is also regarded as a very special day for the inaugurations of schools and colleges in Varanasi. Since these events involve the local public that form a major part of Sonam's fan base, the organisers are very keen to have her join them along with her Raanjhanaa co-star Dhanush."Currently, Sonam is shooting for her next film in Rajasthan. "She is humbled with the requests that have been coming in from Varanasi. The film will always be very special for Sonam and she is keen to visit Varanasi again as the place is very close to her heart and she has fond memories of shooting the film there."
