I just read this stat, that Ponting has captained 16 world cup matches and he is yet to lose a match as captain. Wow amazing no one has achieved that to win 16 cosecutive matches as captain. And he is going for his 3rd consecutive world cup as captain. Whethere you like Ponting or not, you have to admit this guy knows what it takes to win, what it takes to be a leader even if he rubs many the wrong way. 😃

Ponting is a great player n also a great captain..
he has been under mark tylor n steve waugh so he has lot of exprience

Yup, Pointing is one guy the world of cricket loves to hate... but love or hate him... u cant ignore him. not a single loss... is quite an impressive record.

Pointing- 3rd consecutive WC as capatin? I think this is his 2nd...Didnt Steve Waugh lead Aus in 1999?

I think it is Stephen Fleming is leading his team for the 3rd consecutive time. He has been one of the finest, most respected captains for the last 10 years now and holds the honour of being the Most capped ODI captain. I really hope he gets the honour of lifting the cup this time around 😛. Today(April 1st) happens to be his Bday... So Happy Bday, Fleming! 😃

Ya it is right that Ponting has been captain of only the 2003 and 2007 world cup team.. Steve Waugh was the captain when Aussies won the World cup in 1999.

Ponting has learnt from his mistakes, grown on to be a great leader for his team... 👏 👏
