He turned around to go out of his room when his eyes met hers. There she was. Standing at the door.
He witnessed a teary eyed Jodha, who was looking straight into his eyes. Her face had the same pain that he was currently feeling inside him.
He was SHOCKED. Both of them looked at each other silently for sometime. Both had equal amount of tears in their eyes.

.As the luck would have had it, SHe had heard everything.
Jodha had come to ask him an innumerable questions, but SHe had got much more answers than she wanted.

Jodha had never imagined that he felt this way. For the first time, She got to know of his feelings..Tears continued to roll down her eyes..
Jalal never imagined in his wildest of dreams that Jodha will ever come to him, What was she doing here?

Before, Jalal could proceed to her, Jodha stepped backward and ran to her chamber..

Chapter 16 :

Jalal was still in a shock. "Did she actually come here or was I just hallucinating" He thought! "Yes! She did come! She was here! Oh No!" He said fearfully.
This is what he wanted to confess to her, but not like this. "What if she takes this to be another game of mine..Ya Allah" He heaved a sigh of fear.
He did not want to hurt her any further by any means. The state of her which he had just seen left him with a terrible feeling.

He could not control himself anymore. Why was he trying to run away from the reality when he could atleast try to make things better!
He wiped off his tears, made his way out of the room and headed towards Jodha's room.

This was witnessed by Ruqaiya, who was standing at some distance from his room.
She clutched her fist with extreme anger. "No way! No other woman can give birth to MY Jalal's baby! And Jalal cannot go away from me like this!" She fumed with anger.

*Jodha's Chamber *

Jodha entered her chamber all lost in thoughts. Her legs were hardly supporting her. Her chest felt heavy with the burden of everything going on in her life.
She had tried to bury all the painful haunting memories and was successful to some extent, swearing to herself that She won't ever see this man's face.
But today and from some days back, She had seen and felt something different. She had seen a spark of fear and concern for herself in his eyes when he was saving her from the dacoits.

But what she heard today was an absolutely hard-to-gulp down thing. What?He loves me? Her mind stopped thinking. She just could not come out of the words that she just
heard some moments ago.

This was impossible. This was unbelievable. She never wanted to see this man ever after that night. She would have killed herself if he again touched her.
But his touch when he saved her from dacoits, the pain and fear she had seen in his eyes and the scene which she just witnessed a few moments ago compelled her to rethink.

Obviously She would never forgive him, but her thoughts about him DID change a little.
All the words of his rang again and again in her ears. All of a sudden, She started losing her balance. Tears started flowing from her eyes by remembering that night's events
and today's events.

Her vision started getting blurred and her hands searched for a support before she lost her balance completely.
Her legs didn't even support her till she reached to bed.
Finally, a flash came over her eyes and she lost the balance completely.

She fell back..But to her amazement, even into the oblivion she was floating in, She did not feel any hard surface. Someone had probably caught her on time.
She could feel the manly arms around her in her semi-consciousness..

Jalal had come on time and he was terrified to witness a semi-conscious Jodha.
"Jodha...Jodha Begum..aakhein kholiye"..He rubbed her hands while his own hands were shaking. He held her close to his heart, he would not let her feel any pain.

He took her in his arms, lifted her up and made his way to her bed.

His eyes had tears of fear and rage. He shouted with his might - Ammi Jaan!!!

He rested Jodha on the bed carefully and gently. He feared that She fainted because of him.

Hameeda Bano entered Jodha's room with the pickle bottle in her hands but she was shocked to see Jodha lying on bed and Jalal near her.

"Jaldi Hakeem ko bulaiye Ammi-Jaan"..Jalal's tone was enraging more and more by each passing second.

Hameeda was all in a shock to comprehend the events going on. Before She confronted Jalal, She went out to call Jodha's maids and Hakeem Sahiba.

Finally, The hakeems arrived and rushed to Jodha.

Hameeda now confronted Jalal - Jalal !!!(her tone was that of anger and fear) Jodha beta ko kya hua hai? Abhi to achi khaasi baithi thi yahan! Kahin tumne phir kuch..

Jalal stopped her in between and said - Pehle aap bataiye Ammi-Jaan! Aap to humesha inke paas rehti haina, to inke kaksh mei aap ya aur koi baandhi kyon nahi thi,.
Agar Jodha ko kuch ho jata to...(His tears flowed down involuntarily)..

Hameeda did not question him further. She was shocked with the Jalal she was witnessing. To her amazement, He was fearful.
She had never seen him in such condition before. She knew he had done a grave crime, but the way he was regretting for it, the way he had called Diwaan-e-Khaas just for Jodha, had changed her thinking about her son.

Now, She was seeing a caring husband, who would do anything for his wife. She still doubted whether she should let Jalal spend time with Jodha alone, but then, She NOW
knew that no one would care best for her, than him.

She smiled a little and thanked Allah for finally making things better.

"Hakeem Sahiba..Jodha begum thik to haina"..Jalal asked with fearful tone and hearing this Hameeda came back to reality.
She was worried too.

After the diagnosis, Hakeems gave their verdict.

Hakeem Sahiba - Fikr ki koi bat nahi hai Shahenshah! Jodha Begum bilkul thik hai..Aur aapka bacha bhi bilkul durust hai! Bas thode tanav ke karan behosh ho gayin hain..

Hearing this, both Jalal and Hameeda heaved a sigh of relief. Both of their faces got filled with a little smile and relief.

Hakeems left the chamber asking the Shahenshah to feed her the medicines they prescribed, on time! She would be totally fine soon!

Jalal and Hameeda thanked them.
