And I m not even die hard Aamir Fan, I m HR fan.. and laready watched K# twice in theatre.. got a crap DVD at home.. but waithing for Origonal.. just for my son. 😆
Fynny thing is.. all my son, niece, nephews have watched most Holly flicks.. but right now its Krrish. Coz Krrish can dance.. 😆 Anf they can mimick. 😉

I also agree D3 did give all other starcast a bad deal. For this perticular movie.. aamir got away with a crime.. literally.

I agree, the Joker was glorified in the Dark Knight, but I think that was solely because of Heath Ledger's screen presence and epic acting. Who's complaining that Aamir has more power than the Chicago police? That's the way it's meant to be right, if the badass is to get away with all his crimes, he must be a notch above the rest. That's also why Dhoom 3 worked for me, because Sahir was always 10 steps ahead of Jai and Chicago police.

lol, that's exactly why people are ridiculing D3, not because it doesn't faithfully reflect reality, but because Aamir's so-called "badass/smartness" is predicated on his opponents being complete and utter morons, they are supposed to be top professional law enforcement officers, but they are portrayed as incompetent clowns with no semblance of sense, there is just no credibility or conviction in their roles.

To show someone as 'badass', you don't need to dumb down his opponents, him being a badass should be directly proportional to his opponent being a badass, the stronger the opponent, the better the game, but here it was just way to easy.

I think when people say things like the film is illogical/stupid/makes no sense, I don't think what they're insinuating is that it must conform 100% to realism, although some films are remarkably realistic, what they're saying is that they haven't put much thought in it. It should be logical in its narrative, and if you are going to make a huge budget crime thriller, then at least put some intelligence behind it.

Regarding superhero films, they are by definition fantasy/sci-fi, they are not based on the real world, it is set in a a different universe, with different laws, different creatures etc created by imagination, so the fact that they defy natural laws is irrelevant, it's a completely different genre of films.

@AllBlacks1

It is Indian media to blame that writers, director and producer get no mention. The only ones who're known are either on TV as comedy show judges like Rohit Shetty or star kids like Ekta Kapoor.

People are talking of a Nolan here but when Bolly talks start it's mostly about stars.

I think the industry people want money, BO/TRPs to show they're successful. So they give in and try their best to get largest segment of audience as possible.

Work done by say, Red Chillies VFX is commendable. And call them dumb, but an Adi Chopra and Rakesh Roshan using videshi gloss elements and mixing them with Bolly masala to give entertainers is also no mean feat. They're smart in eyes of trade and common populace, even though bash-worthy for critics and high brow movie lovers.

I don't think films like Special 26 or RDB are parallel cinema. They were also "dressed up" to make them commercially viable. True blue parallel cinema still has few takers and relies on hype by big stars to get some audience.

I agree with Deathstroke, you should not watch superhero movies expecting logic. I'm a big Marvel fan and love their stuff; Iron Man, Spiderman, Thor, The Avengers etc. Superheroes bring out the child in an adult so you have to be like a child when you watch one

The problem with Bollywood superhero attempts is not with the logic, they get too dramatic and has bad acting by the leads. I haven't watched Krish 3 but I have seen Krish and Ra One. Both movies lacked good and sensible acting. I found both Hrithik and SRK overacted in their superhero movies and not convincing enough. When Robert Downey Jr plays Tony Stark, he plays the character and does not ham it and is convincing

The length of certain Bollywood action scenes is question mark too. Viewers do not like overly exaggerated long action scenes. Although Dhoom 3 is not a superhero movie, it too had lengthy action scenes which were kind of boring

the concept superhero itself is illogical
such films are for entertainment and thrills,
not logic.

Its not just superhero flicks.. just watch Holly action flicks.. in order to save 20 ppl on bus, or 200 ppl on plane or 300 ppl on train.. the action which takes place.. cud have easily killed lot more innocent ppl in the cross fire.. but do we care? Nope!
Bollywood economy is growing.. quality will also in due time.. the moments public says.. hey we r not fools.. give us better product.. film makers will listen.

For now, I m as happy as ever.. The year is gonna end with Dhoom Macha le.. 🥳
