Kangna Ranaut wants to keep it low

DC | Natasha Coutinho | 2 hours 38 min ago

Sources from the team of 'Queen' tell us that leading lady Kangna Ranaut has decided to go the Aamir Khan way to promote the film. Kangy has rejected the marketing team's idea of promoting it aggressively; arguing instead for a subtler campaign.

Accordingly, Kangy will not be promoting 'Queen' excessively on reality shows and other platforms and will let her performance in the promos do the talking.

A source in the know shared, "Kangna dislikes the recent trend of promoting films excessively. She is confident about her performance in 'Queen' and feels that excessive promotions have a contrary effect " the audience gets tired of seeing the same actors everywhere. She says no other film industry promotes their films in such a hyper manner' and she does not want the audience to be fatigued with the film even before it hits the theatres."

Dhoom and yrf have brand value. Aysa nahi ho ke film kab ayi kab gayi pata hi nahi chale.

I hope this is the right decision. It's one thing for Aamir Khan and the Dhoom franchise to forgo promotion. They are well-known already, but Queen seems like a "little" film in comparison.

Queen looks amazing. Hopefully, word-of-mouth will help it sell.

For dhoom marketing was done but in different manner . Releasing artical on how much money is spend on single song , katrinas diet, releasing praticing videos, there merchandise promotion, the style was more internet base I felt than going everywere and exposing too much .

Dhoom is a very popular franchise so the makers could safely bank on not marketing it enough because they knew already that Dhoom 3 had value.

Queen not so much...so hopefully this decision works out for her
