The coming year will see Sameera Reddy and Dia Mirza tie the knot, while Veena Malik has already taken the plunge.
Footloose and fancy free Sameera Reddy is ready to settle down with 31-year old Akshai Varde, CEO and Founder of Vardenchi Motorcycles. The couple has been dating for the past two-and-a-half years and last week exchanged rings at sexy Sam's Bandra residence.
A source who was one of the guests told Mirror, "Sameera is over the moon though Akshai stays virtually next door. Surprisingly, they didn't even know that they stayed so close. Bikes forged the connection."
Sameera roared into Bollywood with Maine Dil Tujhko Diya and has been zip-zap and zooming through Bandra's by-lanes on a Vardenchi bike. A few months after buying the mean machine, she was introduced to Akshai. Sparks flew instantly and soon Akshai was driving Sam around. If no one spotted her, it was because she was safely hidden behind a helmet.
The veil of secrecy is off as Sameera confirms the news with a radiant smile, "Yes, I'm engaged."
Gear up for an April wedding, vroom!
Before the April confetti shower, there's a Valentine Day wedding being planned by Dia Mirza and her boyfriend of three years, Sahil Sangha. The couple are co-owners of a production house and Dia has been telling family and friends to block the second week of February for the ceremony. By then Bobby Jasoos, the film the duo is producing with Vidya Balan as a snoopy Sherlock, should be all wrapped up and Dia can focus on her big day.
A close friend of the actress called up to tell Mirror, "Dia is really happy and looking forward to her shaadi."
The couple had put wedding plans on the back burner this year to focus on their film projects and have now chosen 2014 to start life as a married couple. Dia was ready to tie the knot but had left it to Sahil to decide when.
Meanwhile Veena Malik has beaten the other two to the altar or rather the marriage registrar's office. The Pakistani actress married Dubai based businessman Asad Bashir Khan Khattak yesterday.
Veena's manager in Pakistan, Sohail Rashid, posted pictures of the couple on a social networking site soon after their nikaah at a Dubai court around 1 pm. Veena had admitted in an earlier interview that she has seen family members enjoying a blissful marital life and had been dreaming of her happyily ever after, since she was a child. This surprise wedding of Veena's comes after two broken engagements.
