All the children in the basti were waiting for their teacher to come.Its already 5.30pm.A young beautiful girl was walking through the lane as fast as she could.
The teacher entered the classroom with a smile on her lips.
" gud evng teacher didi",the students greeted the teacher happily.
Teacher : "Gud eveng dear students..so all of you ready for your classes today?"
"YES...!" came a loud reply.
"Tum?" she was stunned to see him there.:-O
"Haan mein kyun? Mein yehan nahi aa sakta .tu sirf inn bache logon ko hi pada sakti hein.woh mere ko bhi tera english- vinglish seekhne ka hein,bol muje bhi sikhayegi?" Raghu asked her unhesistantly.
The basti children were taking english classes from Antara for about 2 or 3 weeks.everyday antara used to teach them at the old building near the church situated in the basti.
Antara can't believe her eyes n wt she just heard.she was in a confusion.Is this really happening or a dream?
Her heart beats began to raise.god.. Why am i dreaming abt him every nw and then.wts gng on with me:-(.she was in her own thoughts.
Raghu came forward and waved his hands in front of her eyes.
"Arre miss kaul, tu statue ke maafik khadi hi rahegi ya kuch bolegi?."
"Miss kaul" he called her once again.this time antara came out of the trance.its nt a dream raghu is standing in front of her n talking.:-P
Antara : " Ha.. par hum ne toh kaafi portion cover kar liya hein ab thak.sab kuch shuru se padaana padega ab."
Raghu : Teekh hein.toh mere ko shuru se pada de.basti ke bacha log kehte hein ki tu english acha padathi hein.mere ko bhi english padne ka hein aur baath bhi karane ka hein.samjhi..
Antara : :-O
"haan Teacher didi,maan jaavo na.koi baat nahi hum phir se english padayi ka shuruvat karte hein na hamara revision bhi ho jayega" said the students.
Antara agreed and their communicative english classes went on smoothly.Though raghu had trouble in handling english language at first he managed to study it carefully and was interestd in his studies and he wrkd hard.
Aftr 2-3 months Raghu improved a lot.
MM: bhai, tere ko kya hogaya hein.Shyam hote hi gayab ho jate ho aur mein dekh raha hum aaj kal basti ke bacha logon ke aur uss yedi ke saath bahuth gul mil rahe ho.
Raghu : kya Machmach tu mera bheja mat khuma.Tuje toh pata hein na meine yeri ka woh English class join kiya huva hein toh bus isliye sab bacha log aur yeri se roz milna hota rahta hein re.simple..
MM: Bhai,woh sab to mein janta hum.par ek baath mere bheje me khus nahi pa raha hein.Tu ne yeri ka english class kyun join kiya?.Tum bhi toh college gaye the na.
Raghu: haan re mach mach par college ke dusri saal mein hi woh zamindar ka beta kya naam tha uska haan sekhar uske saath hatha payi hogayi thi na aur uska haath bhi toot gaya tha tab principal ne muje wahan se nikal diya tha.keh raha tha aayi ko bula ke lekar ayege toh wapas college ane dunga.par tab maayi toh saheb ke paas gayi thi na america mein.phir meine bhi college chod diya.maayi ke kaam mein madat karne laga.waqt kab bheet gaya pata bhi nahi chala:-P tuje yaad nahi woh saheb mere ijjat ka dhajjiyan udane ke liye apne vilayathi doston ke saath mera parichay karwaya aur mere ko jawab dene mein kitini mushkil ho rahi thi.satyanaash kar diya mere izzat ka sab ke samne.
MM: yaad hein bhai, Toh uska isse kya relatn hein?
Raghu : Toh kya iss bar jab woh apne american doston ko lekar basti ayega toh mein apna mazak ban ne nahi dunga.saheb ko dikhadunga ki Raghunath naik bhi kisi se kam nahi hein aaj ye poori basti ka zimmedari nibha raha hein aur woh bhi chakkhaas English bol sakta hein.
MM : Waah, kya solid idea hein bhai:-D
Both continued their chit chat n laughed.
The days passed very fast. Raghu and the children in the basti become good friends.Rantara friendship too was going smoothly;-).The classes went on as usual.Antara tried hard to control her thoughts about Raghu.she wasn't able to realise whats her feeling for him.Raghu too had some soft feelings for her.but didn't give a thought to it.
One day when Raghu entered the classroom he saw the children talking to each other and a boy named Peter was sitting gloomily among them.
Raghu: Arre.. Bacha log kya gusar pusar chal re la hein re.ye..peter tu kyu muh latkake baitha hein.koi mere ko bhi batayega ki yeh kya ho re la hein yehan?
Mohan: Raghu bhai, aaj mein apne aayi ke saath aayi jahan kaam karthi hein na wahan gaya tha.woh sab bade paisewale log hein.wahan meine dekha ki woh madam ji ke bache x'mas tree banane rahe the.meine toh aaj tak itna bada aur mehenge sajawatwale x'mas tree nahi dekha hein.iss liye usse paas se dekhna chahta tha.par un bachon ne mera mazzak udaya aur bhaga diya muje.upar se madam ji ne aayi ko bhi khoob sunayi mere naam pe:-(.meine toh kuch nahi kiya tha.hamare yehan toh aise x'mas tree nahi banthe na.woh toh sirf church mein dekhne ko miltha hein.iss bar woh bhi dekhne ko nahi milegi church toh bandh hein na:-(
mohan began to sob.
Raghu got worried after knowing what happend.He wanted to do something for his new friends.
The old church in the basti has fallen into serious disrepair after years of neglect.The diocese decided to rennovate the church.The rennovation went on smoothly but due to sudden financial crisis the project for rennovation stopped.The church has been closed since the summer.Several groups have already come forward and stated their willingness to help in raising the fund bt the arrangements were nt finalised yet.
Raghu: Arre..mohan..bas itni si baath ke liye dukhi baithe the.chal bacha log aise apna muh latkake math baithne ka.tere ko x'mas tree dekhne ka hein na.Raghu bhai hein na tum sab ke liye.sab kuch ho jayenga re.tension mat lene ka.ye bacha log tum sab hasthe hi ache lagte ho.:-)
Raghu made them cheerful.After the classes everyone left except Raghu.Antara was about to close the door in a hurry since it was already late to leave.She saw Raghu sitting inside the classroom.
Antara : Raghu...jaldi karo..tumhe ghar nahi jaana hein?
He didn't give any response to her words.It seemed Raghu was in some deep thoughts.Antara tried again to call him.but didn' t succeed.
She went near Raghu.He came out of his thoughts when he felt someone's hand on his shoulder.He turned to see who it was and saw Antara standing near.
Raghu: ye Misscal tu abhi yehen kya kar rahi he.ghar nahi jaana Yeri?
Antara : Uhh.. Raghu... Pichle ek ghante se mein yehi tum se puch rahi thi.ab chalo bahut dher ho chuki hein chalo utho ab. muje classroom bandh karne do.warna yehi pe bandh kar dungi tumhe:-P
Raghu began to laugh hearing her teasing him.
Both left the building and was walking together through the lane.Raghu wanted to talk to her but wasn't able to start.finally he took a deep breath n asked her. "Miss cal...mere ko tuj se kuch bole ne ka tha..bole toh ek dum serious baath.."
Antara: Toh kaho na Raghu..itni pareeshan kyo ho rahe ho..
Antara was eager to hear what he want to say.
Raghu: misscal tuje toh pata hein na abhi december chal re la hein.
Antara: Haan pata hein..toh?
Raghu : Toh... mein kya soch raha tha ki kyon na hum sab bacha logon ke saath Christmas manaye.unke liye ek christmas celebration rakhte hein aur ek bada sa X'mas tree bhi banathe hein.
Raghu blurt out what he was planning to do in such a flow that antara give a big smile..
Antara: Raghu... Tum bhi na...bas bas ab thodi saas lo..yeh sab batane ke liye itna waqt le rahe the:-P she giggled.Raghu felt a little irritated.
Raghu : ye yeri...mein mazzak nahi kar raha tha.bheja mat khuma ne ka samjhi.
Antara: Theekh hain.idea toh acha hein.waise mein bhi bachon ke liye x'mas gifts lene ke baarein mein soch rahi thi.par itne saare thaiyariyan sab kuch kam waqt mein karni padegi.
Raghu: Wohi toh bolne jaa raha tha par teri bak bak ka full stop hi nai ho re la tha.:-P
Antara's lips made a perfect 'O' shape.he he...Raghu chuckled seeing her reaction.
Raghu : sab milke karenge re.mein,tu,mm, ruksana sabhi hein na.tension mat lene ka.
Antara: haan.sath mein arshad bhai aur noor aapa ko bhi lete hein.bachon ke liye khaane peene ki zimma unpar.Aapa bahut acha khaana banathi hein.:-)
Raghu: Waah,kya mast idea he re..baki kaam hum log dekh lete hein.
Antara: bole toh mera idea ek dum chakhaas na:-P
Antara replied Aka Raghu in his own style;-).he was surprised to see her like this.both began to laugh n he can't hold himself from admiring her.They reached home and it was decided to have a disscussion on x'mas celebration at Ruksana's parlour .
Next morning Raghu was about to leave from Naik Sadan on his jeep to meet antara,mm,ruksana, arshad n noor at Ruksana's parlour.His jeep was about to move outside a silver colour Corolla ALTIS car halted infront of Naik Sadan's gate blocking Raghu's jeep.A man peeked out of the window of the car and gave a devil smirk.
The man: Guys get down.we reached The Naik Sadan.Here comes Mr.Raghunath Naik,Dont you want to meet my so called brother..(evil grin)
Raghu was angry bt controlled it and got down from his jeep.He went near the car.
Raghu:Sahib, mere ko kisi kaam se abhi jaldi jaane ka hein..yeh gaadi hatane ko bol.
Satya: Hey wait wait.. Where are you going in a hurry aah?Can't you see i'm with my friends and by the way who are you to order me.Take the luggages inside and inform maayi that her sahib is waiting outside to see her.Arrange for a grant welcome buddy..(evil smirk) woh sorry yaar mein tujse yeh kya bol raha hum tuje english toh aati hein nahi.wait i'll translate this in hindi ok..
All the four devils began to laugh and tease Raghunath.
Raghu: Oh no Sahib u don't have to do this.ok..i know you are eagerly waiting to see maayi,but bad luck dude..maayi is out of town for some election campaigns and will be back tonight.So it would be nice that all of you take a shower and freshen up.Till then Rasika thaayi will make arrangements for your breakfast and Ramukaka will get your luggages.Then where i'm going is none of your business.so better you mind your own business.Take care guys.i'm getting late.Take care.
Yeh driver car hata samne se..tu hatayega ya mein hatavu.
The driver was frightened by Raghu's angry look.He moved the car aside and Raghu went out with his jeep.Satya and his friends stood jaw dropped:-P
Raghu met MM and Ruksana at the parlour and they were waiting for Antara,Noor and Arshad to join.Just then Ruksana saw Noor and Arshad coming inside.she greeted them.Raghu's eyes were still stuck on the doorway which was noticed by Machmach;-)
MM: Arre Nooraapa,arshad miya ayiye baithiye..waise Yeri dikhayi nayi de rahi hein.
Noor: woh Antara toh Ishaan ko school chodne gayi hein. seedha yehi ayegi.
MM: Acha teekh hein.
MM winked at Raghu and Raghu just smiled.After about 10 minutes Antara too joined the gang.
They discussed about the event and divided the responsibilities equally.They've only one week for the arrangements.As decided earlier Noor and Arshad was given the charge of food arrangements.she agreed to make a christmas cake some snacks and fresh juices.Ruksana and antara will handle the decorations and gifts arrangements.Raghu and MM will bring necessary things for the event and finance.They offered to help antara and ruksana with the decorations.The children were happy to know abt the x'mas celebration.Father Domic told Raghu and Antara that though the church is closed nw.On december 25th for the usual christmas prayers and offerings the church will be reopened.He was glad to know that rantara was planning a X'mas celebration for the basti children and he blessed them.They got permission to decorate the hall for the event.All of the gang started there work.They knew that the time is short bt they have to make it on time without any mistake.Antara had some expertise in arranging x'mas tree at her college.She made a beautiful big x'mas tree with the help of Raghu,mm and Ruksana helped her in decorating it beautifully.The tree was decorated with lights and colourful balls.The tree was also decked with different ornaments including baubles,small jingling bells painted gold or silver,stars of different shapes and sizes and colorful balloons.An angel and a star was placed at the top of the tree representing the host of angels.
Antara bought gifts for all.The x'mas day arrived. Raghu and MM where busy in decorating the hall with balloons and glitters.Nooraapa and Arshad miya brought the homemade Christmas cake,snacks and fresh juices along with kashmiri pulav and khewa.Ruksana was checking the seating arrangements.All of them welcomed the children one by one.All children gathered near the table where a small arrangement showed the birth of jesus.All of them had a prayer and Raghu and Antara along with mohan cut the X'MAS cake.Then Noor and Ruksana served them with cake and juice.Mohan was very much happy to see the X'mas tree so close to him.Infact all children were excited to see the arrangements.Mohanwent near Raghu who was sitting on a chair and watching the cheer of the children.Mohan hugged Raghu tightly.:-) Raghu and Antara felt grateful to the almighty for making their effort fruitful.The celebration continued with the some games and music.Everyone enjoyed and had a lot of fun.After the celebration and food Antara, Ruksana,and Noor handed the gifts to them.Raghu was mesmerised in Antara's smile and her beauty.Definitely she looked very gorgeous in her white anarkali suit with golden works on it.suddenly he got an idea.
Since everyone were bc in making the children leave the hall
comfortably. Raghu went near Antara.
Raghu: Tu ne toh sab ko mast gift diya re.chal ab mera gift bhi de de.
Antara: haan Raghu, meine sab ke liye gift liya tha.tumhare liye bhi.
abhi yehi par rakhi thi.pata nahi kahan gaya.:-(
MM: dekh na antara wahi kahi hogi.kaha jayega gift.acha mein zara
bahar hoke atha hum.ruksana se puchunga.he left the place giving a
thumps up
to Raghu;-).Antara was searching the gift.
Raghu: Acha teekh hein chod ye sab. Tu ne muje gift nai diya ko baat
nahi.mein tere liye bhi gift laya tha.le isse pakad aur khool ke
dekh.:-)
Raghu handed her a box wrapped with gift paper.Antara was sad she lost
her gift for raghu.Hesistantly she recieved his gift and opened it
slowly.
Raghu: ye.. Miss cal mein tere ko gift mein bomb nai diya he ki tu
itne darke gift kholne lage.:-P
She opened the box and it was a cute teddy bear with a heart shape.A
christmas card was place on the top of it.
Antara tooked the card and read it:
" Miss cal , Better than any expensive gift I could purchase in the store,
BE MY CHRISTMAS GIFT...you will brighten my days forevermore and give
my heart a lift.."
Antara's cheeks become red(blushing).she wasn't able to lift her face
to see raghu.Raghu came closer and lifted her face with his hands.He
looked into her hazel eyes and antara the intense feelings in his
eyes.Raghu hold her by the waist and she was very close to him
nw.Antara can feel his breath.
Raghu: Bol na miss cal,kya muje mera X'mas gift milega?
Antara nodded a YES since she wasn't able to speak her at the moment
and hugged him tightly.(Mahe tu ...song playing in the background)
On the X'mas night Rantara Romance had a start...:-)
