5.1 Mahmood to NJ O'Brien, 1 run, just a touch too short and he angles it, very nicely, down to third man

5.2 Mahmood to Porterfield, 3 runs, really fine shot and again Vaughan's knee and hamstring are tested to the full as he sprints (well...) to save four at deep extra cover. Lovely, punching shot off the back foot

5.3 Mahmood to NJ O'Brien, (no ball) 1 run, quick, and it hurries the batsman who works it to leg

5.4 Mahmood to Porterfield, 3 runs, just short of a length and it's whipped through midwicket. Monty gives chase and saves four - pointing to the ball, as if Anderson - in a relay move - wasn't sure what to do

5.5 Mahmood to NJ O'Brien, no run, nudged off his hip

5.6 Mahmood to NJ O'Brien, no run, his first slower ball but it comes out all wrong, ballooning to the batsman as a full toss

End of over 6 (9 runs) - Ireland 20/2 (247 runs required from 44 overs, RR: 3.33, RRR: 5.61)

NJ O'Brien 2* (6b) SI Mahmood 3-1-10-0

WTS Porterfield 11* (23b) JM Anderson 3-1-10-1

6.1 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, ah, well bowled Anderson, just shaping this across the batsman who plays and misses

6.2 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, oh hello, what's he up to here? Charging Anderson ala Ian Bell, but the ball balloons off his pads

6.3 Anderson to Porterfield, FOUR, shot. Hit straight down the ground for four, sweetly timed - closing the face of the bat, slightly, but timing it very well

6.4 Anderson to Porterfield, 1 run, Anderson sends this one down shorter but it's too short, and it's pulled around the corner

6.5 Anderson to NJ O'Brien, 1 run, on off stump, the batsman crouches into a drive and - down on one knee - pings it into the covers. They run well for a single

6.6 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, that's a cracking ball, quick and flying straight past the outside edge

End of over 7 (6 runs) - Ireland 26/2 (241 runs required from 43 overs, RR: 3.71, RRR: 5.60)

WTS Porterfield 16* (28b 1x4) JM Anderson 4-1-16-1

Now then James Anderson

4.1 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, on off stump, and splodged to mid-on

4.2 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, crashed to cover, but straight to cover

4.3 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, down on one knee, a lovely looking drive but again it's hit straight to cover

4.4 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, full, driven to mid-off

4.5 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, ooh a fine delivery here, fine delivery passing by a rather indecisive forward defence

4.6 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, and it's clunked to cover to end the over

Four slips in place

End of over 5 (maiden) - Ireland 11/2 (256 runs required from 45 overs, RR: 2.20, RRR: 5.68)

WTS Porterfield 5* (20b) JM Anderson 3-1-10-1

Flintoff into the attack now

7.1 Flintoff to NJ O'Brien, FOUR, ooh and very nearly a wicket with his first ball, cutting it and the ball was inches away from shattering into his stumps

7.2 Flintoff to NJ O'Brien, 1 run, crisply cut to cover

Around the wicket

7.3 Flintoff to Porterfield, no run, and he stands tall, driving it elegantly to mid-off

7.4 Flintoff to Porterfield, 1 run, neatly bowled, but the batsman plays this comfortably, just rocking back and timing it through midwicket

7.5 Flintoff to NJ O'Brien, no run, solidly forward to this one just outside off, pushing it out into the covers

7.6 Flintoff to NJ O'Brien, no run, a touch wider, a touch shorter, inviting the batsman to cut, which he does, but straight to the fielder

Reasonable first over from Fredalo, if lacking his real venom

End of over 8 (6 runs) - Ireland 32/2 (235 runs required from 42 overs, RR: 4.00, RRR: 5.59)

NJ O'Brien 8* (11b 1x4) A Flintoff 1-0-6-0

There's a silly mid-off in there. Straight. Almost a short mid-off

8.1 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, defended out to point

Anderson looks absolutely exhausted

8.2 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, and it's on off stump, forward comes the batsman, pushing it calmly out into the off side

8.3 Anderson to Porterfield, no run, well bowled, but well left; pushing this across the batsman who almost shaped to play at it, before raising his arms

8.4 Anderson to Porterfield, 2 runs, no no, wrong line. Too straight, and Anderson gifts two runs to a nudging nudge to leg

8.5 Anderson to Porterfield, 1 run, flayed on the up, zooting it down to third man

Not really in control of that stroke but it was wide enough to have a go. So he did.

8.6 Anderson to NJ O'Brien, no run, much better from Anderson - quite why he is incapable of bowling six balls in the same area is beyond me. On off stump and, believe it or not, it's defended

Here's a tale of woe from Noel Beavis from the USA: "I bought tickets for the two Antigua Super Eight games this week. I know this is something new for the Caribbean but quite frankly the organisation was a shambles. I bought tickets on-line and picked them up at the St John's office - that took three hours. Some friends were injured whilst trying to get into the office due to the crowds.

My tickets were in the temporary stand Get this. My row (32)did not exist.
Luckily the place was half empty. We had to take a taxi to a meeting point and then a shuttle to the ground - that took two hours. Getting back the shuttle almost tipped as the driver was speeding in the wet. Even though the place was half empty many vendors ran out of food/beer.

Some were selling hot beer and added ice upon request. The locals told me they could not afford $100 a ticket. All the cheap ($25)tickets went very early. We watched the first half of the Australia/ Windies match but refused to return for the Windies innings or the Windies/SL match. It cost me $8000 (for four) for half a day of cricket. What a disappointment.

End of over 9 (3 runs) - Ireland 35/2 (232 runs required from 41 overs, RR: 3.88, RRR: 5.65)

9.1 Flintoff to Porterfield, no run, left alone outside off

He's around the wicket, by the way

9.2 Flintoff to Porterfield, 1 no ball, too wide to trouble the batsman who leaves it alone

9.2 Flintoff to Porterfield, no run, just a touch straighter, and he shuffles across to defend

Botham and Rameez are discussing the hardly-ever-mentioned topic of Vaughan failing in one-dayers. And beneath my feet rocks the old classic "Another one bites the dust." Ahhh, if only

9.3 Flintoff to Porterfield, no run, defended on the back foot

9.4 Flintoff to Porterfield, no run, good line from Flintoff, and it's defended on the back foot

9.5 Flintoff to Porterfield, (no ball) 3 runs, bosh - take that. Smashed through the covers on the up but Ian Bell - cap carefully position, sleeves rolled up, sponsored-sunnies in place - sprints and dives, saving four. Really fine piece of fielding

9.5 Flintoff to NJ O'Brien, no run, and it's left alone outside off

9.6 Flintoff to NJ O'Brien, 1 run, too straight, whipped to midwicket and Monty fields

Here's Martin Williamson for another 30 overs

End of over 10 (6 runs) - Ireland 41/2 (226 runs required from 40 overs, RR: 4.10, RRR: 5.65)

NJ O'Brien 9* (14b 1x4) A Flintoff 2-0-12-0
